Remembering your best trip in 2009
Even though the travel industry has taken a hard hit because of the economy, it doesn't stop travel lovers from some sort of vacation. 2009 was the year of desperate attempts to sell travel deals to get people moving and shaking.
My best trip has to be the one I literally, waited all year for. In early 2009, I booked a ridiculous travel deal from NYC to Barcelona for travel in November for $220 Round Trip. This included all fee's.
Any international trip abroad is bound to be full of exciting new experiences. I fell in love with the rustic streets, the kind natives and the delicious Sangria in Barcelona.
Whether you had amazing trips far away or the best weekend ever with friends in your area, recall your favorite moments in 2009.

The Hajj in Makkah and Medinah and my current trip to Palestine/Israel.
Hard to say. My co-blogger and I went to Barcelona, like you, and it was great. But we also loved Venice.

A friend and I drove from Cali to Philly through the south. It was an amazing roadtrip. Surprised at the wonderful little things about each town we stopped in. There's much to discover in the US.
Definitely going to see The Smokies again.
We spent a month in Thailand. The highlight of that was celebrating my husband's 50th birthday on a little island called Koh Mak, although we also enjoyed Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Another highlight was the 4 days we spent visiting friends in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A beautiful place with a sad recent history...
Wow! That really is an incredible deal! I'd say my best trip would be my Thanksgiving one - our family went to St Thomas. I haven't blogged about it yet but I will!
nyc to spain for $220?!?! wow... please tell us where you find deals like this!! is it online? or through a travel agent? personal hook up? that's incredible.
i went to HK this year and although its not my most fav place, it was definitely memorable to meet family. my other memorable trips are road trips.. impromptu ones on the fly, like when we drove to a lazy quiet coastal town in Portland, ME for oysters and 'lobstah' rolls, felt the soft sand dunes and cold waters of Cape Cod, and finding the cheapest eats in NYC.
So 2009 is full of unforgettable moments. In our college final year students will make tour and we went to several hills stations of India. Incredible India. Lovely trip with 60 students still remembering those days what i can get back again .

hmm...for this year, i'd say HongKong Disneyland...just being with the family and finding the inner child in you is so much fun! having your photos taken with Mickey & Friends is a plus...

Lots of travelling for me this year... Amsterdam, Rotterdam in march, Paris, Berlin and London in May, Copenhagen & Oslo in July, Madrid in Aug, South Africa (the usual cape town, joburg, durban, sabi sands) + Lesotho & swaziland in Sep/Oct, and Shanghai in Nov.
Most memorable, Sabi Sands for Safari in a super luxurious resort Chitwa Chitwa. Best birthday i've ever had..
the best trip and unforgettable trip in 2009 is that we our college friends went to Himalayas and we had a mountain climbing there.. we where climbing at a height of 2500 km from the earth. still can't forget those moments.
