Now that 2009 is coming to a close, it's time to think about 2010 and all the great things that may come along. And by that I mean, traveling! Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to go on any big vacations due to the economy, but I did take a few small trips within the tri-state area. But next year I am certain I will head out somewhere. The $1 Megabus ride is calling my name and I think I may take a trip to Boston or Toronto to experience it myself. And I'm thinking another cruise in the caribbean! What do you think?
Where are you headed in 2010?

I am hoping to hit New Orleans for spring break. I wanted to cruise Europe for my birthday, but since starting grad school (and not working fall time) I am poor. Not vacationing regularly makes me surly, but it's I gotta do to get my edu. Sigh.
hope to go to Japan by July 2010! if not, then it's law school for me! i've been in New Zealand for the past three years but i'm originally from California. i'm hoping i can go to law school somewhere in the East Coast! i love the East Coast!
Home!
I 'm hoping Japan in September, if not I have to wait for 2011.
Palestine, Israel, Portugal, and then home. All within the first two weeks of 2010. As for the rest of the year, wherever my job takes me.
Back to FL in April to see our families. Possibly to San Diego to visit some friends. My husband is going to Guam in just a few days, and will see much more of the world than I will. He's in the US Navy, and I just know he's going to Southeast Asia. But he'll be back before we leave for FL in April, so it's not as long as a typical Navy deployment.
I'll be in my hometown finishing my last year of school... no big plans on going anywhere, cause I'm saving to go places in 2011 while still being able to pay for school. Ah, life.
whatever i can afford. would love to go to london.
I have noooo idea. But I want to go backpacking somewhere.
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Not blowing my own trumpet but Mexico and Egypt.
studying abroad in Spain summer of 2010
Visiting a friend in San Jose, Cali, and then staying at a family member's vacation house in Florida :] No where out of country sadly.
@schallerbrandon@xanga - I recently took a trip to phoenix, az..it was absolutely wonderful there :]
@rAzOrKisS09@xanga - Sounds great, any recommendations?
I'd like to go to Phoenix sometime this year. My brother was in Iraq from January til September of 09 and it felt wrong for me to take a vacation while he was gone. We're talking about heading to AZ to see our family out there and relax. I could really use the 100 degree dry heat right about now as I look out my window and see nothing but a blizzard! :(
@schallerbrandon@xanga - I didn't do a whole lot while I was there, but definitely check out the mall! It's incredible, especially compared to the lame ones here in Ohio. I tanned A LOT because I can never soak up enough sun...Also, go to Jack in the Box! It's simple fast food, but we don't have them here and it was a treat :]
@DarcKleer@xanga - Omg it was a blizzard here today! The entire week I was in Phoenix the temp was in the low 100's, except at night. You should treat yourself in 2010 and go there!
I've got a couple of trips booked for next year so far...

Hard to say, because there are so many places we'd like to go to! (Duh!) But Paris for sure, and maybe a bit more of France. Summer could in Tuscany but the U.S. of A. has been calling for years... always difficult because you need the time and the money! We're supposed to go to Istanbul with some friends, and I don't think I can stand another year without going to Madrid, my favourite place on earth. I'd also love to take my beloved to Milano. Then there's Ireland to which we've both never been... Well you get the idea. We'll see what we manage. For all you guys: visit Malta and come over for tea!
I live in Germany...so I would hope I would get to see London next year...maybe paris or vienna.....
I have already been to Amsterdam
Chapel Hill, NC I think.
I'll be going to Green Bay, Wiscousin in May (for a cousin's wedding) but only for a few days. In July, I might be going to Lake of the Ozarks, MO for a week with the family. Otherwise, if I go on a vacation, which isn't often, it'll probably be to Tuscon, AZ. The parents have a house there that they try to go to as often as they can (while they still work and only have so many weeks of vacation a year to use).
I usually only go on 1 week of vacation a year. 2010 will be a little different, with the wedding and all. I'm not a big vacation person. But with the house in AZ and all, I think I'm going to try to at least do a weekend getaway a couple times after July. Plus, I have a friend who's going into the Army. I think I'm going to try to rope him into doing a weekend exploring Chicago before and after boot camp just as something to do.
During April vacation I'll be going on a service trip to Abancay, Peru to work with orphaned children. It's going to be an amazing experiece.
i'm travelin to London and Paris! :D
