McDonald's is one of those Universal places that everyone knows about. You've got the golden arches, Ronald McDonald (Who is kind of creepy if you ask me) and the image of your classic Big Mac. They are scattered around the world, and more importantly in the United States like paint blotches on a canvas.
The fast food experience has taken over the world making it easier to dine and go. It doesn't mean fast food has to be ugly. Think about your local McDonald's. What does it look like? Mines went under renovation a few years ago and it looks pretty standard, but with a nice up-keeping.
Take a look!
Nothing fancy smanshy, but nicer than you'd expect.
Take a look at these Mickey D's.
Budapest, HungaryYou know I'm going to do it. I wonder how HUNGRY they are for McDonald's there. Okay. Cheesy joke aside, this McDonald's is located in an abandoned train station. Take a look at the crown molding on the ceiling. It also has antique lighting and over sized windows. Kind of looks nicer than my own apartment.
Paris, France Now why on earth would you dine in McDonald's when you have French cuisine all around you? For french fries maybe? (HAHA) Okay, seriously, I actually went inside a McDonald's in Paris when I was traveling in High School. I actually saw this McDonald's and I must say, it is an eye catcher.
The modern design in the image doesn't even make it look like a McDonald's.
How does your McDonald's look? Are you impressed by others you've seen on your travels?

i have to say, i went to one in zurich, switzerland and i was pretty impressed.
it had a nice little lounge place to sit and i didnt feel gross and disgusting coming out of it like i normally do here in the US.
I've been in that Paris one. It looks far more classy in the picture than it does on a rainy afternoon when it's filled with French students, I can vouch!! lol
When it comes to taste, GERMANY has the best Mcdonalds. I'm not sure what they do differently out there, but their Mcdonalds is perfection!! The UK comes a close second. But America, Cyprus and Egypt have some of the nastiest tasting Mcdonalds I've ever put in my mouth! Yes, I am quite the coinessuer of fast food eateries! lol
MC donalds around here looks like a mc donalds nothing fansty at all about them either...some of them are real small, some of them dont even have tables to sit at eh whateveeer...i dont eat at the damn place but once or twice a year.
mcdonalds looks the same everywhere in the southeastern u.s. I think there may be one or two near Orlando FL (and DIsney World) that are really nice (I went to one on a trip once).
I;m going to Europe this summer, I'll have to check out that one in Paris :)
Also, where is your McDonald's at? That's nice.
When I travel, I try really really hard to not seek out fast food. But I would stop into one of these just for the surreal atmosphere.
the one in France looks awesome and super niceee!
There's one in Sydney, Australia that is nicely decorated too!
chyeah. The one in Madrid was sweet. Mine are crappy.
McDs here in Malaysia are pretty standard but nicely done. it's a good place to hang out too hehe...the ones in Manila seems similar to ours in KL too :)
I believe the McDonalds in Chicago on Ontario and Clarke is touted as the "1st McDonalds". I got some pretty stunning photos of the place. Inside and outside, it really doesn't look like a "normal" McDonalds. Link: McDonalds at night, downtown Chicago.
My local McDonalds have been renovated VERY nicely... it's so weird to walk in and see tile, cool colours, interesting walls/benches/chairs/tables... I remember the old days. Lol.
I remember when i went to my first McDonalds in China i was a little taken back.. Its a lot nicer and some even have 3 floors, each floor selling something different than the other or a different service i'd imagine.. o_O needless to say, i miss the mcdonalds in China. they have other foods compared to the U.S!
MmMMm.. MCDONALDS.. :3
I been in one of the McDonalds in the city twice in my whole life so far, the other one never.
I have been in one in Bodrum (Turkey), Majorca and a few others.
I been in a few different fast foods outlets on holiday.
I don't care what it looks like, I'm there for food.
Or not, since I like BK better.
fancy pants! i like the one in times square, the upstairs dining room is nice
Wow, those are nicer than the McDonald's near Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. That's the most fancy I've seen a McDonald's.
The French one kicks my butt. That is not the kind of class I'd imagine to see in a McDonald's.
I don't care how nice it looks on the inside. If I don't see them killing that cow in front of me I'm still not eating that shit.
HELLO Japan of course! It's amazing.
The one I've seen in Washington D.C. was quite nice, though harbored by homeless people in the morning. Three floors with a waterfall adjoining them. Nicer than the ones in San Francisco, that's for sure!
The one in Paris is pretty cool. Where I live it's basically this.
In Asia (I live in South Korea), they have 2-story restaurants & coffee shops, such as McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks & Burger King, KFC, etc! Because there's not much space, things are built up rather than across!
I live in Asheville, NC. I believe we have the fanciest McDonald's in the US.
London mcdonalds are actually really nice so are the ones in the middle east
besides that i've only been to mcdonalds in Greece, Cyprus and Israel and they are all grossss(especially Israel)
