There are so many products that are known all around the world. Coca-Cola is the staple of the American beverage that goes perfect with a tub of popcorn. Everyone knows what
What about awesome things you find while you're traveling? That you kind of wish you had back at home or you'll search all over eBay and Amazon till you have it.
A
post was written about national drinks and how you should try them on your travels. Well, these are some unique products that I wish stores in the United States had.
Ramune Japanese Soft Drinks These are starting to make an appearance in local Japanese stores, but I think everyone should sell this! Not only is it a drink, but it is a complex little puzzle. If you've had one before, you know what I am talking about. The fun of the drink is trying to get it open. Be careful and make sure if you don't know what you're doing to ask, or you might not ever be able to open your drink!
And the flavors and presentation of the bottle is quite enjoyable.
Vitesse Cleansing Facial Wipes I have very oily skin, so when I find a product that works, I will stick to it. On my recent trip to Barcelona, I found these facial wipes. I can't even find an image on Google, so I had to take my own photograph. They are perfect for oily skin and for 2 Euro, you can't beat the price.
Passion-fruit Jelly I picked this up randomly for my mom who loves everything passion-fruit. On my trip to Hawaii, every supermarket carried this brand of jelly. My mom loved it and wants to get 20 jars of it but can't find it in the US. I told her to send me back to Hawaii and I'll gladly pick some up for her.
What are some products you've seen abroad that you wish they sold at home?

you can get those soft drinks @ a supermarket called T&T here :]
and it's for sale at this mall we have too.
i loveeee the bottles&the cute marble, i used to try and get it out (:
The fashion brand, Bershka. Sigh. I saw it in Spain and I liked it a lot, but they don't exist in my home country. Boo.
the ramune stuff you can get it at 99ranch. oh, you suckers don't have 99 ranch on the non-west coast places? HAHAHAH! wow that was mean.
passion fruit jelly? well.. i can get it in my boba drinks. o_o
Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream, Melon Ice Cream, Green Tea without sugar, Kaki no tane with Peanuts, Aloe yogurt (don't knock it till you try it), Japanese style gyouza (as opposed to the Chinese (from where it originally came from)-- the only different is Chinese tend to steam or boil this item and Japanese fry it. -- The list could continue for eternity...
Russian limonad and Venezuelan Frescolita (my goodness this stuff is amazing!!!)
i hope victoria secrets come to malaysia! :S
in the philippines they sell stuff to whiten you skin. not just your overall color, but the spots that darken due to friction over time. also they sell very effective deep conditioners here.
I think the Ramune stuff is way overrated. They have it for like $3 a bottle at all the hibachi and sushi places around here. Total rip off.
Ramune is okay, but it's mostly gimmick. You can get it at pretty much all of the Asian grocery stores north of Dallas.
@snapeful@xanga - actually the east has lots of places like those. :) n Asian shops like H-Mart. oh yeah n Chinatown. haha
I think you would have to look around for local places for Ramune. you'll have better luck if you live in an area where there is a fairly good amount of Asian people.
Some fruity pop drink in Mexico. Ack, I can't even remember what its called but it was like fruitopia only more fruity and carbonation and less fruit juice! I have only found in one Mexican restaurant in the states...and forget to ask what it was again.
I dont know if it's just my city, but ramune is making its way into all stores. I used to have to go to asian-specialty markets before but now I can go anywhere really.
AQUARIUS! Oh my goodness, it's my favorite drink in the world, but it's NOT sold in the US!
And something I miss that's in the States but not around me is kebabs. Mmmmm. I had one in Madrid, but I live in a really tiny city that doesn't have them...
@FreeeVerse@xanga - I liked that store too. I bought a dress there.
@dancesmilelaughwithme@lovelyish - I bought some lingerie there, haha
And I love kebabs, too! But in Granada we usually call them chawarmas or shawarmas. SO GOOD. Hehe.
Oh boy, do I miss Spain...
@s_h_a_sha@xanga - Oh hie fellow Malaysian!
Yeah, there's no VS here, but I love La Senza
@FreeeVerse@xanga - Oh wait, I am wrong. Haha, I did go to that store and I liked it. But I actually bought my dress at Sfera. And a skirt at Blanco. I think I liked Blanco the most.
Oh my gosh, I know...I told my fiance that when he meets me at the airport I want to see him AND a kebab. :)
@dancesmilelaughwithme@lovelyish - Oh yeah! I remember Sfera! I got a bag from a Sfera shop in Barcelona, if I'm not mistaken. Lovely stuff, and they're very high-quality,too. Oh, there's no H&M in Malaysia. I just remembered, coz I went into an H&M in Sevilla or Madrid.
@FreeeVerse@xanga - hey!! yeah thats is awesome too! :)
@s_h_a_sha@xanga - But VS is a bit more high-class lah
I remember when I was in Frankfurt airport - I bought myself a VS fragrance from there, since there's no VS here. LOL. Great investment!
@FreeeVerse@xanga - hahah i like it when we use lah! :P
@s_h_a_sha@xanga - Ooh, me too. Lagi baik kalo cakap BM. Hahaha
There are certain flavors ofg ramen I wish I had for college ahaha. I dunno... WAYYYyy too many to name. Red bean ice cream, jello with a whole fruit in it... man I dunno. Lol REAL GREEN TEA
You can get ramune all over around here (Chicago Area) most Japanese restaurants have it too.
Milo is something I drank in Asia all the time but there is none here. Breaks my heart.
This is going to sound weird, but I swear the Fanta is less sweet in El Salvador... I definitely prefer that. :)
