Jakarta Fashion Week 2009: Dian Pelangi
One newcomer who made a big splash at this year's Jakarta Fashion Week was young designer Dian Pelangi. She is only 18.

Dian means 'candle' and Pelangi means 'rainbow' in the Indonesian language.
She's just playing with rainbow colors, and why not?

I think the bright yellow one looks a bit too much like a Carmen Miranda costume... I'm not too fond of any of them really, but I'm happy for her that she's experiencing such success so early in her life. The style is a bit breezy for my taste, but what do I know?!

They're all lovely but completely impractical for the climate here in So. California. One would roast in all those layers of fabric.
Well considering that it's runway fashion & not real-way fashion I love them all except the bottom left one. I think several of them have great potential to be turned into real-way attire.
Not my type of clothing so I think it looks hideous.
very bohemian, NOT slutty! wow! that's a first and I LOVE it! maybe the chunky jewelry is too much, and any smaller, more petite figure could be overwhelmed by the attire, but for tall and large builds, this would be a great addition.
