"Early on, my parents witnessed the sheep reduction, and that was one of the most devastating things in their life. I remember my grandma crying and she was saying, "The police just came in here, and I ran out to the corral and told them,'Don't shoot those animals!'" But they shot them anyway.
That was like shooting their children."Photo by Stacia Spragg-Braude, quote by Sharon Begay. Both can be found in Stacia Spragg-Braude's book
"To Walk In Beauty: A Navajo Family's Journey Home," a photo diary which follows the Begays, a Navajo family returning to a reservation in Jeddito Wash, Arizona.

Picturesque.
I wonder how humans will feel if Aliens in spaceships arrive and do their own human population control.
I love the picture - it's sad to see the tied up sheeps taken away from their homes.
It's a sobering image... a picture tells a thousand words and can be bittersweet.
By the way, I put up a photoblog about my island trip. Check it out.
