So I love Times Square. My first trip up there in about three years was in July. It's mind boggling how many people they can fit inside a square. But if you've been to Times Square recently, you may have noticed that there is an area where traffic has been closed and you can pick up a chair and park your butt for a few hours, and just relax and experience the city.
When I was walking past this I wondered, "What are these people doing, just doing nothing?"
Well starting this week, technology has gone to the heads of The Times Square Alliance and have installed free WiFi in all of Times Square! So if you've got a WiFi-enabled phone and/or a laptop, you can now relax in your chair, drink your Starbucks in the middle of the finest city in the world, and surf the internet at the same time!
Do you use WiFi when you're out and about? Would you use it in NYC?

Neat idea. If I had a reason to use it, I definitely would. Great idea for travelers.
Lol i just go to my public library for that :3 too bad u cant eat in there, but there's a lot of books, idk why i like the smell of book paper 0-0 it just smells different, i fall asleep a lot with my head in the book, but time square seems interesting and a very amusing sight, i'd love to visit one day
i use wifi all the time. It's free internet - how much better can it get?
As for NYC, why not? That's awesome. Last time I was in NYC I was staying in Times Square but the hotel wanted a crazy amount of money for wifi. It would have been nice to just go down the street and have it for free!
Woah, that's so cool!
Wouldn't it lag with all those people using it?
