A few months ago, we discussed
destination weddings. It's pretty interesting to consider nuptials abroad. But for people with a smaller budget or a lot of family, they might want to consider something in their hometown or in the same state at least.
It leaves lots of options (And money) towards a big honeymoon. The ultimate celebration of becoming man and wife should be a grand splendor, right? The travel world is bombarded with honeymoon packages catering couples with romantic extras like massages, bottles of wine and roses.
For myself, it has to be somewhere with a warm climate. Not only would I want beautiful beaches, but exciting activities to keep us busy. I'd prefer an exotic and remote destination where couples don't usually honeymoon. After all, the experience should be unique.
Places like
Bora Bora,
Australia and
Costa Rica really catch my eye.
I wouldn't even mind a week in paradise, then using the Wedding money and backpacking around the world with my new Husband to see a little bit of everything! Talk about an exciting and unique adventure.
Where would you have your Honeymoon? If you're married, where did you Honeymoon?

Ireland. <3
I like the three choices you picked! I want to go somewhere tropical, with beaches and warm weather!
I like the Polynesian Islands. Its what i really really want or if not I want to go on a road trip across the U.S
Milan, Italy!!
I was thinking maybe going back to Aitutaki... but I'm not keen on tropical islands. The water is just so amazing.
venice.
Peru or Costa Rica or Argentina.
But who am I kidding, my BF hates marriage. :(
Hawaii!!!!! (so typical but it's so beautiful there)
Australia :]
We went to Disney World. :) We're kind of the odd couple, though. We were married in Orlando, FL, so we figured why not continue the tradition? My parents also went to Disney for their honeymoon. And another thing is that we were both Florida residents, and we were able to take advantage of several different specials regarding that and actually save money over going to the beach, taking a cruise, etc.
Somewhere really BORING and cheap, so we can stay the entire honeymoon in our wonderful hotel room enjoying each other. Seriously. I'll go to interesting places in some other occasion.
I know quite a lot of people who went to Paris. WHAT A WASTE! They HAD to walk through the city, even when they didn't feel like it because, you know, it's Paris and it's expensive and it's once in a lifetime. When they were finally back to the hotel they felt like doing nothing other than sleeping, they were so tired from walking walking walking. Geez. What a crappy honeymoon.
GREECE!
How about a very unknown or unpopular Caribbean island? I loved Grenada. That would be a great place for a honey moon.
I want my honeymoon to be in Ireland
i am simple, somewhere quaint in new england will be good enough for me.
Ireland, England, or Korea. I know both places are on opposite sides of the planet, but both facinate me.
DISNEY WORLD!
i'm such a kid.
Im getting married in feb and honestly, he doesnt want to do anything for our honeymoon, but what I would like to do is go skiing =)
I don't know, really. I'd like to go back to Italy, but something simpler like California or Jamaica would be cool too. There's always an appeal to traveling a long distance together, I think; the whole embarking on an adventure together thing.
We went to Disneyland in California - we didn't want to just hang out in pools and on beaches, we wanted to have fun. And did we ever! But now, if I could go somewhere for a vacation, i'd choose an all inclusive resort on the caribbean side of Mexico. Or if money wasn't an object - Greece.
I would love to have one in space.
But realistically, maybe southern France, Peru, Japan, Thailand or Australia.
amsterdam, london, or brazil. i'd say hawaii too but everyone goes there.
I don't care. As long as my future bride will be there with me, I'm in Heaven.
My cousin had her wedding and honeymoon in Jamaica but then again some of my family lived there for 8 years. My senior year of high school I actually had to plan my wedding and honeymoon for a school project and I had it in Maine. Found some nice little bed and breakfasts and a cabin to snuggle up in after being out in the cold.
