A vacation is a vacation right? You're not going to school or working and you've left all your troubles behind. No worries, no problems, just good ole relaxation.
But naturally, something can always go wrong. You could lose your wallet, have a horrible hotel room or get into an argument with a travel buddy. It might even damper your entire trip.

My worst vacation was hardly a vacation. It wasn't even too bad to call it a worst vacation. It was a last minute trip to Puerto Rico for personal reasons. Since it was last minute (And I mean last minute) I had to borrow clothes from my cousins there. (I looked like a boy most of the time in their clothes.) The place we were staying at was full of mosquitoes and ants. You could barely sleep without waking up to one in your face.
I got bitten all over from a million mosquitoes. (I looked like a leopard.) Also, my hair was frizzy the entire trip. It was hard to enjoy the island itself staying with family. I was also 17 at the time, just at the brink of the legal age to do anything in Puerto Rico. It was hard to go sightseeing so I can't even really say I've been to Puerto Rico, when most of the time I was with family.

Himrod, NY. My sister and I were going on a short camping trip. The place was desolate, the owners of the campground were miserable, and the people we were meeting (my sis's old roommate and her sister) never showed. We set up the camp and road-tripped to Fredonia to visit friends. It poured. When we got back to the camp, the tarp over our picnic table had collapsed and everything was soaked. We went to bed, and left in the morning, after paying for a week of camping. Craziest part? When we left, we went to the office to tell the owner lady we were leaving. Allison said she was feeling ill, and the lady superstitiously rushed over and opened the door for us to leave. How rude!
Buffalo, NY...summer 2000. Every so often my dad goes to his Vietnam reunions if they're not far from us. The first one we went to was almost 10 years ago to Buffalo. It was a 6.5 hour drive from Philly and not fun. We followed my Aunt and Uncle. The trip itself wasn't terrible but we had a bad experience in Canada. We decided to check out Niagara Falls and all that fun stuff. My Aunt and Uncle had been there before so we followed them. We were going through the border and the guy was asking questions. Now, my dad is deaf in one ear, an injury he sustained in combat in Vietnam, so obviously it's hard for him to hear what they're asking him. Apparently the guy didn't like the way my dad answered his questions so we had to pull over and our car was searched. He got out of the car and in a blind rage started screaming how he wanted to go home and how he hated Canada. I was 17 and my brother was 15 at the time so you can only imagine our embarrassment. My Uncle pulled over and my mom sent us to sit in his car. She said to us "just get in their car and don't look over here." We seriously thought my dad was gonna get arrested in Canada. Thankfully, he didn't. There were 2 people searching our car and when the one noticed we were just a family passing through she asked the other person why we were being searched. On the slip that was given to my dad he wrote "When asked what we had planned on doing in Canada driver responded, 'I don't know.'" Way to go, old man! He also told the guy we were his brother-in-law and hanging with them but the guy never mentioned that. Uhhhhh.
I need had a bad trip, I guess Im just lucky
I went to Quebec with my friends family in April '08. Not only was it deathly cold (which I was expecting), but they decided to have a huuuuuuge family meltdown and I was stuck in the middle of it with no form of communication to back home. It was an awkward and silent trip.
On my HONEYMOON, two days after the wedding I got Pneumonia AND the Flu! I ended up in the hospital for 6 days with a fever of 103 barely able to breath. Had to cancel the trip. Bummer. Luckily my mom was nice enough to buy us a week in wisconsin a month later after we spent all our wedding money on hospital bills!
