Walki Talki Self-Guided Walking Tour iPhone App
Submitted from Walki Talki
Hate carrying a guide book in your hand while you tour the city and looking like a tourist? There is an app for that!
The entire self guided walking tour–including an interactive map, the audio tracks and instructive images–resides on your iPhone. The app requires no data connection, and you won’t incur any additional charges beyond the price of the app.
I have always bought Eyewitness Travel Guides because of its beautiful graphic walking tour maps. Going on a walking tour is different than just going to one point of interest and leave after you're done. You get to see the everyday lives of the locals, find hidden beauty as you turn every corner and truly immerse yourself in this foreign place.

Get the tour from The App Store, load up your iPhone (or iPod Touch) and see the city when you want and at your own pace.
They have various European cities available: London, Prague, Rome, Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and more coming soon!
Would you use this application if you have the iPhone? Do you still use maps?

Quite interesting, perhaps you can use it along with the mobile translator and language learning apps on iPhone or mobile phones. Check out: http://www.langlearner.com
