When I read the word "vacation" dozens of mental images flutter in my mind. Hot weather, beaches, warm sand, palm trees, relaxation.
But lately I've been toying with a trip that is the complete opposite of that imagery, a complete opposite of everything I have a preference for.
I want to go to Antarctica.
After a bit of research I find the idea more and more tempting. The stars, the landscapes, everything seems so alien!
Sure I have a hate for cold weather, and an even stronger dislike for wearing clothes in multiple, puffy layers, but I have a strange feeling that the trip would be worth it BECAUSE of these things.
I could easily say "it looks beautiful, but I don't like the cold" and not go. But going, in spite of those otherwise unappealing symptoms of a frozen world would make for quite an adventure.
Would you ever visit Antarctica?

I think I'd be too sad to visit Antarctica.
The ice is melting, and penguins are having no place to go, but are left to drown in the sea.
