Things I always look forward to coming home
After going away on holiday, whether it is Europe or somewhere further, I have realized the things I miss when I am away.
1. My bed. In America, Canada and Mexico, I find it strange sleeping on a double bed all to myself. I can remember my mom and dad saying in America, you can have a double bed in your room, but you will have to get rid of your PC to make room for your over sized desk.
(Why would I want a double bed in my room? I would probably be kicked out of my room when my sister and her boyfriend come to stay. I like my single bed more.)
2. My college courses; it is important to continue getting my qualifications.
3. Seeing my Nan and Granddad. (We go up every two weeks on Sundays since my Great Nan passed away.) We used to see them every week when she was alive and have Sunday lunch. Also, I don't see my Uncles, Aunts or cousins often since they live in different parts of the UK.
4. When I come home sometimes after a few weeks, it doesn't even feel like I've been away, but more like a dream. When I'm on holiday in the hotel room and I'm asleep, I think about where I am or I try to make a virtual journey during the night to take me back home.
When you go on holiday, What are the things you miss from home?

Like you said, my bed is the number one thing.
My bed. I love just flopping right on to my bed after a long time of being away from it.
the bed, the food, and mother. and the friends. :)
family & friends
but only for a few minutes.
My bed. Mainly.
I don't get homesick. I only miss my mom and that's about all really
I'm in college currently, about 500 miles away from my hometown. I don't get homesick too much. I do miss my bed, though. Dorm beds suck.
I'm currently attending a school that's about 3K miles away from home. Having lived at home for 22 years, there are a few things that I dearly miss. I miss my room, my car, great food, TV, and the company of my loved ones. I'm flying home in about a month and I'm already so excited. Living by myself has been an eye opening experience but to me, home truly is where the heart is.
Thank you for using my post for your site
When I was living in China and South Korea, the one thing I was missing was the library. Strange, isn't it?
Still, I always missed the part of going there, and browsing books in a language I can read (without using a dictionary every 5 minutes) and taking them out for free.
I would also say I missed American pizza (since the pizza in both countries are a *bit* different, in my opinion), but then I more than made up for it eating authentic Korean and Chinese food. The only sucky thing here is I can't eat Chinese and Korean food in the states since I had the real stuff. Plus $15 for a bowl of bibambap is ridiculous.
I miss my shower and my cats!
