  • Duck! Here Comes the Bridge!

Vacationers got a little more than what they paid for while cruising on the Oasis of the Seas this weekend.  The world's largest cruise liner built by Royal Caribbean gave passengers a free show when it nearly took out a bridge in Denmark.  The ship, which is 20 stories high, had a 2-feet gap to spare as it hurled under the Great Belt Fixed Link bridge at full speed.

Hundreds of passengers on the top deck and locals by the shore geared up to watch the ship glide under the bridge as it left the Baltic Sea to cross the Atlantic to debut in Florida.

Have you had any crazy/scary incidents while on vacation?

    Nothing quite like that.

But I'm sure that they knew the actual height and that it was safe .

That was certainly a close moment for the cruiseship. The next time I think it won't be so lucky.

There was one time during a cruise I was in, a young lady threatened to jump off the ship because she just had a messy argument with her boyfriend. It was a scary moment. The boyfriend somehow convinced her not to jump and God knows what happened to them after that.
