Image SourceNow that Elections are over and done, some states are getting used to the idea of a new official. In Maine, they are getting used to a whole new law.
In an almost 60% favorable vote, Maine passed the Medical Marijuana Act. It is a law similar to one in California where marijuana can be distributed under certain conditions.
And although they said yes to pot, they also voted against same-sex marriage. Over 50% of Maine residents voted against same-sex marriage.
How do you feel about their choices? Do you think other states will follow?

I live in Maine. I worked so hard to tell people to vote No on 1 and still failed. I know same-sex marriage will be legal one day though, I'm sure of that.
Smoke weed not poles I guess.
@cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga - Don't give up. I live in Mass and I was still seriously pissed that it failed in Maine. Apparently we're still living in the stone age, huh? But I also believe it will be legal. Just hoping it's soon.
It makes me so upset that that 1 went through. I think that gays should be allowed to marry, and people shouldnt' deny them their right to be happy. Pisses me off to no end.
I'm also for medical weed, that doesn't bother me in the least. Just seems to me if one went through, the other should have also.
What a weird move on Maine's part. 1 but not the other!?
