One sacred home renovated in England
I always thought it would be neat to renovate and live in an old church. A couple decided to do just that. They decided to purchase an old church in Kyloe, North Cumberland, England. They invested lots of money to keep the outside as it was. They restored instead of renovated. (It wound up being 3 times less money.)
The couple did there best to recreate the inside like a regular home
Here are some pictures:
What are your thoughts? Would you renovate home in another country if you could?

wow! that's beautiful. i think i would remove the stained glass windows, but keep them, it's really open!
Oh my goodness, that's breathtaking. I would love to live in a home like that one day.
Lol, they haven't removed the graves...
I think this is fantastic! I would love to live in a place like this (not sure if I would want to do it forever, but still.) I'm really not sure how to take the location of the master bedroom, though!
It's been done before.
I wish I could do that too.
that is gorgeous. i wanna live there. :)
That is so cool. I want to live there. :)
it's pretty, but i don't think i want my frontyard to be a real cemetery...
Oh cool! They made such a pretty home of it! What a wonderful project!
Perfect!
That's wonderful! It reminds me of Marbelton Manor from Narnia.
Do want. I would live there in a heartbeat.
While I think they did a great job for the most part (their use of space is awesome), they need to get a new sofa set. Those blue sofas and chair look like they came from a discount furniture store. They don't seem to fit with the rest of the decor at all.
I love the rest of their furniture though, so I don't know what happened. Maybe they just ran out of money and brought along their hand-me-downs?
Gorgeous! Someone near me here in the States did a similar thing as well. However, the church they restored as a home is nowhere near as majestic or ornate as this one is!
I love it when there is a mix of old and modern...esque, especially when there are two textures.
...is that a cemetary outside their house in the first picture?
the house is a little creepy to me..
It's beautiful. I like how the decorated too. I might try and make my decorations more old looking, to match the old church a little more, but that's just because I'm a bit odd I suppose and would feel like I was living in a story.
Its stunning! I couldnt live in a house with the dead people outside though. That must be scary.
The house looks really charming and homey. I feel like I could snuggle in it any day. Just take out those stained glass windows...
This house is amazing. The whole place looks so welcoming and simply charming.
Beautiful. And yes, I would.
It's beautiful, but I couldn't live in it.. It would kinda freak me out
i've thought about doing something like that in the future too...if i happened to get really reach between then and now...
