TSA's response to Cartoon about 3-1-1
Anyone who has traveled on a plane knows how annoying the regulations are for liquid substances in your carry-on. This hilarious cartoon captures the feelings of many annoyed travelers. It is trying to compare the allowance of laptop batteries with a bottle of water.
But, you can always put clear liquid explosive in a bottle of water. It's not like inspectors are going to test every passengers water. It takes complicated tests to do so. This gives us something new to worry about!
From the TSA blog:
"Why is 3.4 oz. and below OK and what’s up with the baggies? To date, I think those questions were answered best in an interview with Ars Technica’s Jon Stokes. I highly suggest you read it to get the big picture of what lead to 3-1-1."

Do you get annoyed during the bag screening process? Are the regulations helpful or a waste of time?

Hahahaha, laptop battery stuff is a GOOD point actually. Besides that I don't get annoyed. I would feel much much happier if we weren't allowed to even have liquids at all.
It doesn't bother me at all. We can water everywhere when waiting for the flight.
It's annoying, but what can you do? I just always make sure I have my liquids in a bag ready to go so I don't hold up the line.
I don't think it's that much of a bother. The only time it became a nuisance is when my mom was denied bring her medicinal eye drops onto a plane (in her purse). Thankfully the lady was able to put it in our luggage really quick but my mom should have known better.
Oh wow. I still remember when the rules about liquid started. I was in Kazakhstan when the men were arrested in London, the guys with the liquid explosives. I was due to fly back the next day. Because of the brand-new restrictions, I I got to the airport at 7:15 or 7:30pm. I was supposed to arrive back at the airport at 1:15pm.
