  • Match Up Monday: The Great Wall of China vs. The Xian City Wall

We at Trip Crazed would like to apologize for the absence of Match up Monday last week. Your editor was unfortunately computer less. (I was going stir crazy not being able to look for travel deals!) But we're back and ready for this week's Match up Monday.

This time, we decided to shake things up a bit. Rather than compare two cities at a glance, we will take a look at their biggest attractions. A battle of great tourist attractions. This will help us get an idea of cool places we might want to visit from those who might have seen it and or done it. It doesn't have to be two different cities, it can be from the same place.

Remember, if you have any suggestions for a Match up Monday, Let us know by submitting a post!

Basically, Tourist Attraction #1 vs. Tourist Attraction #2. Now that we've explained the changes, let's get ready our Match up Monday: The Great Wall of China vs. The Xian City Wall

    The Great Wall of China

    • A World Heritage Site since 1987.
    • Has a history of more than 2000 years running east to west in China.
    • It runs over 5000 miles long.
    • It was built in order to protect the dynasties of China from Mongols, Turks and other nomadic tribes.

    The Xian City Wall

    • Stands 40 feet tall and covers 8.5 miles in length with a deep moat surrounding it.
    • It was erected in the 14th Century Ming Dynasty.
    • It is suggested that tourists try biking on the city wall for a great experience.
    • It was built to protect the cultural, economical and political center of Xian.

Which would you rather visit and Why?
