This week's question: What was your first vacation?

My first real vacation, by my personal definition was traveling to Madrid and Paris with my school when I was a Junior in High School.

It was the first time being away from my parents and I spent the entire trip with my best friends. It really opened my eyes and made me want to travel the world!

Share your stories about your first vacation!

My first real vacation was when I was in 10th grade and I went with my best friend and her family to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  The mountains were amazing, and it was so nice to be away from MY family.

My first vacation was camping, if you call that a real vacation. It was for 3 days, it was awful. There was a torrential downpour and the tarp fell and SOAKED the eggs, I had a squirrel trow things at me (seriously) and my dad made the most HORRIBLE cappuccino on the campfire. But, there was an Amish community not far from there and we got some killer apple butter.
