After
last week's Matchup Monday, everyone could agree that New York City is great, whether you are in Brooklyn or Manhattan. (Even though I am a Manhattan girl at heart, I am starting to see why Brooklyn is pretty cool too.)
This week is the Battle of the Beaches. I woke up this morning and saw the temperature was 48 degrees. It inspired me to think and write about hot warm beaches. We'll look at two popular Mexican destinations: Cancun vs. Cabo San Lucas.
Cancun, Mexico:- Can be called Spring Break capital of the world. 20 somethings spend their college Spring breaks here to party hardy! (Darn. I wasn't one of those lucky kids)
- Awesome nightlife: Senor Frogs, Coco Bongo and Coronaville are located in the Hotel Zone. This is where you want to be! You will dance the night away! (Don't forget the legal drinking age is 18!)
- The resorts! I am drooling at how beautiful this looks! It is the Eastern jewel of Mexico
- Looking for an awesome theme park? Hidden Worlds is Six Flags on acid. It is located in ancient caves and includes snorkeling, zip lines, diving and other adventurous activities!
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico- Is on the West Coast of Mexico, near California.
- Is the Creme de la Creme of tropical cities. They are known for exquisite hotels and fine dining.
- Great place for family vacations. It is relaxing for the adults, but packs a punch with many things to do in the resorts for kids.
- Known for great whale watching. There are so many, they say it is like seeing pigeons in NYC.

I think both of those are extremely overrated and filled with HS graduating classes and drunken tourists. It's just not worth it in my book. I'd say my favorite beach is Playa Flamenco (Or Flamingo? I don't recall) in Puerto Rico.... there's another in Thailand but I can't remember the name... gah...
I been to Cancun in August and I have not been to the other palce so it will have to be Cancun.
