The National Parks -- America's Best Idea
I have recently been extremely interested in the National Parks of America after watching some of PBS' special series called "The National Parks -- America's Best Idea". There are 58 parks in about 26 states and 2 territories. I plan to visit all 58 in the future and become the first woman to photograph all of them.
Here is a site to find a National Park near you.
And some pictures of them:
The Great Smokies (they're called "The Smokies" because when the fog that forms there rises, it looks like smoke)
Denali National Park
Zion National Park
Great Sand Dunes National Park
American Samoa National Park
Dry Tortugas National Park
Acadia National Park (New England's only Nat'l Park)
Capitol Reef National Park
Pettrified Forest National Park
Congaree National Park
So, is there a National Park in your state? Have you been to any National Parks? Which do you want visit?
