(Last week's match up proved Hong Kong to be the destination of choice for our readers!)
New York, New York: The city that never sleeps. The Big Apple. My hometown and a Metropolis of a melting pot of cultures. I am of course a proud New Yorker and you can't forget that New York is made up of 5 smaller counterparts. Our five boroughs: Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island.
We all have funny stereotypes of each borough and constantly argue about which is the best one.
So let's take a look at two growing boroughs that are hot on the map: Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Manhattan:

(Manhattan will never be the same without the Twin Towers)
- Is the most densely populated county in the United States, with a 2008 population of 1,634,795
- It consists of Manhattan Island and several small adjacent islands: Roosevelt Island, Randall's Island, Ward's Island, Governors Island, Liberty Island, part of Ellis Island, and U Thant Island; as well as Marble Hill, a small section on the mainland adjacent to the Bronx. (We are just a whole package aren't we?) (From Wikipedia)
- Cool things about Manhattan? Our neighborhoods. You've got Little Italy, Chinatown, Spanish Harlem, SoHo, Washingnton Heights, Midtown, Uptown... you name it! There is so much diversity.
- Central Park: Smack in the middle of New York and a great place to soak up the sun in the summer and to ice skate in the winter.
- Stores Stores Stores: We are home to the original Macy's, Bloomindgales, Century 21 and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Brooklyn:
- Is growing a distinct name for itself withh an independent art scene, fascinating architectural heritage and unique cultures.
- Actually has more people than Manhattan with a population of 2,556,598.
- Also filled with culture! Brighton Beach is home to Russians. Bushwick is known for a large Hispanic community, while Bedford-Stuyvesant is home to the African American community. Some growing areas are Greenpoint: Home to Little Poland, Bay Ridge for Arabs, and Jews in Borough Park.
- Home to Coney Island: Think of it as a historic amusement park. Although it is closed for major restoration, it has been home to Brooklyn for almost a century. Beach, Rides and Nathan hot dogs? I'm there!
Both make up the important picture of New York City. They share a 24/7 transit system and tourists that adore both areas.
But, if you had to choose a place to love more: Is it Manhattan or Brooklyn?

I don't know much about either but one of my friends thought I'd lived in Brooklyn, haha. I'm not sure.
Manhattan :) because i live there!
i love them both! Brooklyn for the low key atmosphere, Manhattan for the bustle and excitement :)
NYC is so amazing.
New York City, fantastic city. I could not pick
I'm not a native, but I would probably go with Manhattan just because of Broadway. =)
