Shanghai vs. Hong Kong can probably be called the battle of the Modern Cities of the Far East. Both cities are known as a little piece of the West in China.

Many don't consider China a modern country with crazy city spotlights and interesting fashion districts. But because of these upcoming cities, China can keep up with modern cities such as New York, Milan and Los Angeles.

But it is the history and culture of China that makes these cities special.

    • Besides, there are places well worth a visit in the suburbs such as Qibao Ancient Town, Zhujajiao Water Town and Chongming Island for in addition to its modern facets, the city has a wealth of more ancient Chinese traditions.

    Hong Kong, China

    • A cultural pot of different parts of Asia. It blends British culture with Chinese customs.

    • Also known as a Global Metropolis and Financial City.

    • A naturally beautiful sight with island views and beautiful natural surroundings

    • A Travel Guide says: From Yum Cha (tea and dim sum) in the morning to a moon lit view from the top of Victoria Peak or stunning night time harbor cruise, mingling with shoppers in the numerous malls and markets around Tsim Sha Tsui , tasting delicacies at dai pai dong, taking a trip in a sampan or high speed ferry, Hong Kong will guarantee its visitors an unforgettable experience.

    • There will always be something to enchant you and quite probably make you fall in love with this unique place, be it sightseeing, shopping, dining or simply exploring its many delights by day and night.

So far, this Match Up Monday is a tough one! We have one opinion from our Hardest Level Editor. He picks Shanghai because it sounds cooler. As for me, I'm sold on both!
