  • Buying A Round The World Ticket

For anyone planning to travel around the world or just hitting a few cities on a backpacking trip or crazy vacation, a Round The World ticket might interest you. Rather than buying multiple tickets through various dealers or airlines, this ticket is kind of like your bundled package of destinations you will be visiting all in one shot.

To better define it, STA Travel says:

A Round the World Ticket is an airfare that allows you to travel on different routes with a group of airlines, as long as it’s within the rules and regulations of the fare (mainly that you must cross the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans at some stage on your journey)

So there are a few guidelines, but those all vary of course.

    I planned a fake itinerary NYC >Sao Paulo, Brazil> Buenos Aires, Argentina> Madrid, Spain> Athens, Greece> Istanbul, Turkey> Delhi, India> Beijing, China> Bangkok, Thailand>Sydney, Australia> Auckland, New Zealand> NYC

That is a heck of a lot of flights. A skeleton total came out to $3,500. That is a semester at my University. For the same price, I can travel around the world.

Would you consider a RTW ticket? Where would you go?
