Top 3 Beautiful Waterfalls In China
When we think of China, (I hope you're not thinking Chinese food) what comes to mind? The Great Wall, yes one of the biggest and historical places to see. Or Tienanmen Square, a rivoting piece of history with a passionate story behind it. After somebody close to me went to China, now I think of Pandas in Chengdu.
But did you know China is home to some beautiful natural landscapes? I found these amazing pictures of Chinese waterfalls. If you thought Niagara Falls or Victoria Falls was amazing, you might be shocked at the gorgeous pictures this photographer captured.
Huangguoshu Waterfall
You almost want to say this picture was Photo-shopped. But of course, it wasn't. You almost want to just jump into the fresh water. And they even caught a rainbow! "With a subtropical landscape and unique flavors and cultural relics of the Buyi and Miao Nationalities, it was named in the first batch of National Scenic Spots."
Jiulong Waterfalls"The Jiulong Waterfalls during the flood season, red earth accounts for over half of Yunnan’s area, and the province is known as the ”Red Earth Plateau”. In the flood season, the water flow increases dramatically, carrying with if lots of red earth and dyeing the waterfalls red." You have a lot of natures beauty in one places: fresh water, green lush, red earth and hard rocks.

The Tsangpo Badong WaterfallsThis luscious waterfall looks like an exotic paradise. You'd almost forget you were in China. "It has a total length of 2, 840 kilometers and is the 23rd longest river in the world. In terms of flow, it ranks seventh 16, 290 cubic meters per second, as much as 76, 600 cubic meters per second at its largest flood flow, ranking fourth in the world."

I absolutely love China and I hope to visit the Mainland one day soon. I've already been to Taiwan and Hong Kong, which are (politics aside) both culturally Chinese yet maintaining an awesome local culture as well. Taiwan is absolutely beautiful and the people are great! The same with Hong Kong.
China has so much to see and do, that I'll either have to make several visits over time or go and live there for years. Both are good options
Don't ask me, I never was fond of China since the 1949 Communist Revolution. I am fond, however, of Chinese people, though they are not so fond of me. Strange, or coincidence? You tell me.

Those pictures were amazing! Thanks for sharing. I hope to go to China one day in the future -- and if I do, I'll definitely check these spots out. :)
:O
Wow.
I never thought that kind of beauty is in China xD
hmmm. I suppose i should give China more a chance :)
These look gorgeous. I especially love the first picture with the rainbow. :)
wow ...so beautiful
:)
gorgeous! I've seen Niagara falls on both sides and it was amazing (esp. the Canadian side obviously lol)... so if i could i would def. make a trip to china to see these.
Nice photos, I have only seen Niagara Falls (both sides) since we did a coach tour of the US and Canada.
@quotes3085@xanga - I'm dying to see Niagara Falls. Hm Now you got me thinking of a nice weekend trip. Thanks!
it's Tiananmen, and yes, China has some really great waterfalls. I've only been to the ones in the Jiuzhaigou region though. They were absolutely amazing.
@cllns_smm@xanga - China's politics has nothing to do with its natural beauty...
Wow, they're all beautiful. The last one looks like something out of a fairy tale.
Absolutely amazing.
Wow...for all the times I've been to China, I've never actually gone to look at the waterfalls. I've always looked more at the historical/cultural sites...
This is quite interesting ; )
THOSE ARE SO GORGEOUS ugh I want to go swimming in those rivers.. beautiful!
WOOOOOW i love waterfalls sooo much!
not only waterfalls, but a place in China called Guilin is very famous for their hills. they're exactly like those in chinese style paintings!
Those last ones are gorgeous. I would love to visit them.
gahhhh asian culture is sooo beautifulllll =]
Those look absolutely amazing!
I think of Tiananmen Square; the government running over their own people with military force, controlling the weather for the Olympic games, and the stand in lip sync because the girl that really sang was "too ugly"as deemed by the government. :)
These are awe inspiring photos, they have captured China’s natural beauty in a way that speaks to how fragile our
environment can be, whilst drawing us into the location. Its wonderful to see that the natural side of China seems to live up to the ancient paintings and
classical images. I think the famous Chinese poet Li Bai was spot on when he
once said that waterfalls are just like the Milky Way falling from
heaven.
