Aloha TripCrazers! This is a new idea I came up with! We'll take a look at interesting things you can do overseas or even in your hometown that are worthy of your time!
We'd love some recommendations, whether its something as simple as feeding the ducks in Central Park on a sunny day or scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Lets start off with something I've always wanted to do:
Attend a Japanese Tea Ceremony."The Japanese tea ceremony (cha-no-yu, chado, or sado) is a traditional ritual influenced by Zen Buddhism in which powdered green tea, or matcha (抹茶), is ceremonially prepared by a skilled practitioner and served to a small group of guests in a tranquil setting."
You are served traditional Japanese tea by a tea connoisseur. They are dressed in a kimono and must be knowledgeable in the types of tea, production of tea, calligraphy, flower arrangements, ceramics and other arts.
This art takes many years of practice. If you are lucky enough to be a guest, make sure you know the proper gestures and phrases and how to drink your tea, so you're not being rude. I think this is a great privilege, and I love tea!

nope, but i want to! i read about them in a japanese novel and have been intrigued ever since.
I have, actually, when I was young.
One of these years.... one of these years.
I did that when I went to Tokyo! It was really cool.
I've never had a hankering to attend one.
It sounds like it'd be interesting, though I'm not much of a tea-drinker.
I did attend a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and I wonder how different it'd be.
i've been to five, i think. i got to participate in one of them, make the tea and everything. pretty cool. :)
Ooh, I love tea. Knowing me, I'd probably start to take a sip and spill it on myself..
