It was only a few months ago that
TripCrazed informed its readers at the possibility of the 46 year old ban being released from Americans visiting Cuba. Although we are still far from visiting Cuba, its nice to imagine a time when we can actually do so. Or at least have some kind of peaceful diplomatic ties with the country.

I would be willing to say that we will at least see some travel restrictions lessened under this new administration. Bush actually tightened travel restrictions. Up to a few years ago, it was legal for American students to go on US sponsored trips to Cuba to study (I know a few friends who did this program through my college). For things to totally change with regard to restrictions between the US and Cuba, I think it's either going to take the passing away of Fidel Castro or the dying off of anyone in Congress that remembers the Cuban Missile Crisis.
