Flying to Syndey, Australia, but ended up in Sydney, Canada!
Ever bought a ticket to go somewhere and ended up in the wrong place? Well, a couple from England sure did. After buying last minute tickets online for Syndey, Australia they embarked on what they thought would be a wonderful summer vacation on the beaches of Australia. What they got was a chilly winter vacation in Sydney, Nova Scotia in Canada!
I guess they didn't look closely at their documents or even paying attention at the airport before they boarded. In this article, the couple didn't really know of the mistake until they ended up in Canada:
"Realising they were in eastern Canada, the couple assumed they were "going the long way" because they had booked at the last minute and would soon be arriving in Sydney, Australia."
Luckily the two are a good sports because they decided to stay and make the most of their trip. They spent time enjoying the scenery and eating the local lobster.

It was an awesome experience to learn about my family's history and I was quite pleased to show off my vietnamese language skills to the locals. It's quite a big deal for an american-born.

It happens betwwen Rhodes and Rodez in Europe. But I don't travel enough to have this kind of pb. lol
Oh man, that'd suck D: i wanna go to australia/new zealand so badly !! I'll keep this in mind next time we plan a trip, to be carefulll !!

That's odd, most travel planning websites make you pick between the two... at least they were positive about the situation.

I've never heard of that happening other than on TV shows, but I could see how it might...but not very likely. At least they made it into something positive instead of just getting mad at themselves and flying home, haha. :)
Just gotta pay waaaaay closer attention to what that ticket and flight say!
Loll, if that happened to me... I'd be pretty pissed.
