Japan. What a wonderful, magical place. Growing up, we have visions of Japan as being the best place in the world. They eat the weirdest foods. They get the best video games. They get all the manga and anime in their original, unprocessed forms (with all the bewbz and swears). Also, everyone there is a serious pervert, but it's all cool, because it's Japan. It's the birthplace of ninjas and henshin sequences and sushi, that if there's a person who doesn't like Japan, there's something wrong with them.
They say that when a girl visits Paris, her heart stays forever. And so it is with boys and Japan.
There's a reason I bring this up. I've wanted to go to Japan all my life. Even just to make it there, I couldn't care if I didn't know the language or didn't have a place to sleep. I'm not just an otaku. Japan is a place I'm in love with, even if I haven't set foot on it's land. So, I'm feeling a little jealous of a childhood friend I've recently reconnected with who is in Japan right now. I'd like to go. And maybe I can take home a few of those nifty UFO plushies.
Japan. I want to experience it. It's food, it's culture, it's history. I want to go there. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. What do you think?

That giant anime girl scares me.
haha, I would wanna go to Japan.
Holy shit, that picture is coooool!
I'd like to visit Japan one day, too. Maybe even fall in love with a Japanese dude, too... yep.
Magical indeed. So magical/mysterious that Jonathan Swift even included the country alongside his fantastical nations in Gulliver's Travels. I would like to visit the place one day.
I have the fondest memories of Japan. I really should write about my experiences someday.
It truly is magic.
Serene, perhaps would be the best word, however.
Definitely worth trying to go to Japan. I went there last winter and it was fantastic destination. The country keeps its old and new and eastern and western side of cultures perfectly in balance. Have a nice trip!
I would love to walk the length of Japan someday.
Agreed. A friend of mine is there at the moment as well. I'd be jealous, but I know I'll get there, one day. I want it that bad. Let's go!
they dont eat the weirdest foods, they eat the yummiest foods :} so healthy. i want to go to japan again...after i completely learn the language and maybe find a job and live there permanently.
i'd love to go to japan.
...no one else thinks that picture is perverse?
Japan is awesome. We never got to visit Tokyo while we were living there and that is something we regret but there was a lot to do in the country too. I would love to go back one day. I really get homesick for it sometimes. I hope you make it there soon!
I go for the food.
I'd love to go to Japan one day. Get in touch with my roots. :) And buy random stuff out of vending machines.
I want to go too!
I want to see the countryside of Japan.
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - haha didnt notice until you mentioned it.
japanese? don't much like the country. over-rated. when did a slab of raw fish become delicacy? hype that is when.
if i ever got the chance, i'd love to go to Japan :)
I feel the same way. I'm looking forward to next year because I will study in Japan in the Fall of 10'. Even if I have to take out a whole bunch of loans and take classes that have nothing to do with my major.
Going to japan is like getting a tattoo. It lasts forever, you CAN have a bad experience if you're drunk the whole time or just go on a whim, it CAN be expensive, its better if you plan it out THEN let ity happen organically when you're there, if you go to a pro about going you'll like it better, and once you go... you'll want to go back over and over and over.
I'd go just to see it, but it's not something I've dreamed about and I know very little about the culture.
I went last summer, and it was totally amazing--so much so, that next school year, I'm spending the entire year there attending University.
that if there's a person who doesn't like Japan, there's something wrong with them.
Sorry, if there's some people who do not share the same tastes as you. :) Japan is full of like... incest.
I'd love to visit Japan ~ it would be amazing simply because Japan is extreme in so many ways ~
Zillion times yes.
I'd so like to go to Japan and I have wanted too like all my life. My mother even has 2 friends who live in Japan so she went like a long, long time ago, but she said it was amazing.
