360 Degrees of Stonehenge
Ever wonder what it's like to stand on the grounds in front of Stonehenge? With this 360 degree interactive panoramic view, you can almost experience what it's like to visit the monument; it even feels like you're standing right in the middle of it. Not quite the same as being there, I'm sure, but a cool find nonetheless.
Have you ever been to Stonehenge? Do you want to go?

that's actually really cool. i really would like to visit europe, and if i ever do i'd like to take a gander at stonehenge.
I'd love to see it IRL...
i've been there...too bad they have it blocked so you can't go up to it and touch it tho..
SOO cool!!
i wanna go lol i was actually talking about this yesterday kinda funny but is it true that you really can see each zodiac through the stone openings because thats what i heard but idk if it is true.
No, but I would like to go there someday! :)
I've been to the UK, but not to Stonehenge. I'd really like to go there the next time I'm in that part of the world.
been there, done that. its pretty cool
The first time I went, it was such a big disappointment. I wasn't prepared for the smallness (I expected it to be much, much bigger and a bit more foreboding) of it all and the discoloration of the rocks (I.e. not that white/beige color in the picture). I know time takes its toll, especially on natural sites such like these, but I just wasn't ready for that kind of disappointment, hah.
It looks nicer in that pic than it did when I went (which was summer of 2008 and the weather was a bit murky).
Also, the border around the stones ropes off pretty far away, so you're not that close to the rocks. (I can understand why- the preservation of such things, etc. but it seemed a bit too far).
I have a question- with natural sites like these, do they let nature take its complete toll? For example, if one of the horizontal stones on top of the stone columns (yes, I know there's names for them, hah) were to fall off, would they place it back on? Or simply just let it be? (It seemed like that when I went, there weren't that many horizontal stones on top of the stone columns currently.)
Never been yet - I would love to go. I was in Ireland but didn't get a chance to go visit one.
