What Was Your Worst Experience on an Airplane?
Mine would have to be last Easter when I had to fly to my Grandmother's funeral. The kid behind me got motion sickness, the creepy man next to me asked me to join the mile high club and then after I refused, decided to snore the rest of the flight while the other woman on the aisle row tried to convert me to Judaism over his snoring. Needless to say it was a memorable experience, one I hope I never repeat.
What was your worst experience while trying to get from point A to point B on an airplane?

I think my worst experience on an airplane was when i was coming back to new york from florida
and the plane did a little mini drop
i was so scared that it was going to crash.
mine story doesn't top yours though.
Getting terribly air sick on a flight from London to Sri Lanka which was 11 hours long.Didn't also help that there was really bad turbulence.
Loud snoring, noisy children and wailing babies are also annoying.
kids screaming and kicking my chair ;(
One of the flight attendants spilled coke on me >.> & annoying little kids crying and running around ugh.
uncomfortable silence.
15 hour flight to Nagoya... with some strangers crying baby for most of the flight, except when I finally lost patience took the baby from the shocked but thankful woman and spent the entire rest of the flight walking the aisle back and forth to keep him quiet....... so happy when that one was over.
I can come up with 2 actually. One was when I was flying from New York to somewhere (can't remember where) and we got stuck on the plane because something had to be fixed. The AC was running like no other and everyone was freezing. So I asked the stewardess if it's possible to turn it down a notch (scoring some Yeah's from quite a few other passengers) and she was a total bitch about the whole thing. I don't have much patience but I restrained myself and asked her for a blanket. "We ain't have any", she said. Well, let's just say, I got medieval on her ass and she found two blankets for me in a matter of minutes.
Second one was when I was on 12 hour flight recently and I ended up sitting next to an 85 year old man who was suffering from short term memory loss. I ended up listening to his entire life story about 12 times in a row and looked at the pictures of his family probably 20 times. It was excruciating.
the worst experience on an airplane was about 2 years ago when my sister and i had to fly back home for my uncle's funeral. our flight to penna was extremely long and started so early and we had to sit with a crying baby the whole ride from oakland, ca to atlanta, ga for about 6 hours. it was the most horrible drive ever because the kid would not shut up and stop crying. i don't blame the baby because he didn't know anything but it was hard enough that we were only heading home because of a funeral. and then we also missed our flight to philly from atlanta. and then, when we landed, our luggage didn't land with us and was on another plane. it was just horrible to start with.
On a very crowded airplane where I was seated at the second to last row in the back of the plane, some lady decided to change her childs diper behind me which resulted in her shifting around constantly and a terrible smell...is that even allowed?
I was flying back from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia and there was this 2 year old boy with his mother sitting in front of me. The boy kept saying nearly the entire flight, "Mommy is the plane gonna crash?". His mom kept asking him to sit down and be quiet. He kept getting up on the seat and saying the same thing. I was sitting there wishing the kid would shut up lol.
Just a tiny bit of turbulence.
lmfao idk i think i was like 12 or something and it was my first time on a plane and im really terrified of heights...so when the plane toook off i was freaking out and crying and i looked over on the side of me and like a 7 year old girl was loking at me like "stfu you big baby" lol needless to say i felt wicked dumb
Flying from Vancouver, Canada to Glasgow, Scotland: Our plane was extrememly delayed ... while all the passengers were on it. When we finally started moving, the captian came on the intercom and said something about how they were sorry for the delay but that there was a problem with one of the engines but it was all fixed now. I'm thinking, "And now they want to fly over the Atlantic Ocean on this plane?!?!" Then we got to London Heathrow where I had to catch my connecting flight to Glasgow. I raced through the airport to the terminal for that plane and found out I'd missed that flight. They put me on the next flight which was leaving in about 10 minutes. I raced through customs and ran down hallways and stairs and got to the plane just as they were finishing up boarding. At least I made that flight! :) Then, when we got to Glasgow, I discovered that, while I had barely made my flight, my luggage wasn't so lucky and was still stuck in London. Thankfully it came later that night but very stressful while I waiting for it!
I haven't really had any bad airplane experiences. I've almost always traveled alone, and the only instance I can say was bad was when I was running away from my abusive ex-fiance. And even then, the plane ride went off without a hitch. It was just the circumstances that made it an experience I wouldn't mind forgetting.
My worst was this 5 hour trip (I think?) from Vegas to New York, about four years ago. This obnoxious woman behind me kept bitching really loudly the whole time to her friends about how far back I was reclining my seat, which wasn't far AT ALL. And then when we got off she kept going. And pointing. Practically trying to get my attention. All the way to baggage claim. Ridiculous.
Bulurigia Air/ hemus air so shit the flight attenteds where cheaky and when i said i didnt want the meal they shoved it in my face and left it there for the rest of the flight not good :(
way home from haiti after adopting my siblings...we didn't know my sister had ear infections, and she kept screaming (don't blame her, ya know) and we were getting dirty looks and such.
and on way home from or to london (w/ college group) there was a drunk man who insisted on singing to his walkman at the top of his lungs - and no, he couldn't sing very well
@echois23@xanga - wow, was it that bad? i'll be making that flight this october and now i'm not exactly looking forward to it (the flight).
when i was told to sit down when i had to use the restroom (it was safe to do so). one of those WTF moments.
and i should have said "ooooo so you want me to pee here...you naughty naughty you" :D
i threw up in my purse
airline food also smells bad to me, perhaps because i associate the smell with my air sickness, so even after i take motionsickness pills i still feel sick when i smell the airplane food
When I was flying across the state and went into some nasty turbulence WHILE I had a full bladder. The turbulence got so bad my headset nearly fell off from bumps and hitting my head and losing a few cc's of urine by the time I landed.
My 'worst' exp on a plane was coming from SFO to DFW, i was probably 9 or 10, flying with my older brother who was prob 14 at the time, He for some reason was very nauseated at the time, and mid flight, he threw up projectile style all over his, mine and the aisle person's tray's .. and it looked like kidney beans.
on another note, the FUNNIEST plane ride i've ever been on was to Vegas this past May, my boyfrend and I were sitting there in the plane waiting for the runway to clear up ... Our flight was delayed and cancelled so like 8 hrs later we got on another plane....we were sitting there...and next to us was an Alaskan Airlines plane...and the two blk girls behind us said.... " Oh look , an Alaskan Airlines plane...Who is that guy on the side [an eskimo]...It must be their President!!" - In all seriousness. And my boyfriend and I laughed for like 20 mintues. It was great.
I went to Japan on a mission trip.....I had to sit next to the window seat. & for some reason, Japanese Airlines' aisles, seats, etc are MUCH, MUCH smaller than the American airplanes' aisles, seats, etc! ... I had to climb over a guy each time I wanted to go to the restroom, & I am "blessed" in the upper area of my body, so......yeah, it was quite embarassing each time! I wish I had gotten the aisle seat! Haha...
Chicago to Oakland night flight. Baby directly behind me wouldn't stop crying the entire time, as well as the fact the old woman next to me was hogging the armrest. Plus I was sitting in the middle, making sleep hard enough.
went up and the plane hit sum bad turbulance. shook the whole plane like we were guna crash. like literally shaken apart feeling. then on the next flight after i had calmed down (i was in milwaukee from omaha on the first flight and was about to board a plane to green bay) we went up and about 10 min into the flight hit an air pocket and dropped about 200 ft. the lady in front of me's hair and soda went flying straight up. now mind u that second plane was only a 12 seater. like one seat on each side and no potty! i've been ruined since that day
