What's the Best Amusement Park?
Disney World excluded, what do you think is the best amusement park in the U.S.? The ones I know of are just Six Flags, Dorney Park, Busch Gardens and Hershey Park. I think Six Flags is probably my favorite; I go for the thrilling roller coasters. What is your favorite major amusement park?

Cedar Point. There IS no other theme park.
CEDAR POINT. yesssssss. im going there next week! tickets are $30 wednesday :)
Cedar Point. Best thrills ever. It's fun during Halloweekend especially!
So East Coast oriented! Everyone is saying Cedar Point... I was planning to go there this summer but plans fell through due to rain. Maybe before the summer ends I will be able to echo the above posters. But for now, Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ will remain my favorite amusement park. El Toro alone makes it super awesome. Nitro is also amazing. Kingda Ka, well, we have something to show off with that one... not the greatest ride, but at least you can say you've gone on the fastest and tallest coaster ever afterwards. The proximity to the largest safari outside of Africa and Hurricane Harbor is also a plus.
I have not ever been to any amusement parks except for Disney World, Disney Land, Universal Studios and the (used to be) three Six Flags parks in the great state of Texas.
I think, Disney exluded (though, I prefer Universal - I'm more of a thriller ride kind of gal), the original Six Flags theme park in Arlington, Texas (Six Flags Over Texas) is probably my favorite. Though, Six Flags Astroworld (Houston, TX), which has sadly been demolished for a few years, will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up there. We went EVERY weekend and almost every day in the summer as kids, tweens and early teens.
CANADAS WONDERLAND !! woooott going this sunday !! =]
summer rush is at wonderland, akon, marianas trench, basshunter, danny frenandez, pitbull, karl wolf and more, i cantt waitt !!! =D
@JadedJanissary@xanga - Where is Cedar Point? Never heard of it.
@Sarah - whaaa?! http://wikitravel.org/en/Cedar_Point
best themepark EVER.
Valley fair, cedar points owner or whatever. or nickeloden universe, except the rides arnt too scary.
I've never been to Cedar Point. I feel lame now.
But ehh. I love Busch Gardens. It never gets old.
Hershey Park was probably the worst "amusement park" that I've ever went to. It was so boring.
I'd have to say either: 1) Great Adventure in NJ or 2) Dorney Park in PA.
From what I hear, Cedar Point is the best.
I have to say Six Flags but I never been to the others mentioned. I can answer by experience. After stories of deaths from amusement parks, I'm a little eerie of roller coasters.
CEDAR POINT! It has no competition. 17 roller coasters and more.
@abcdefgaby@xanga - You must go! I've only been once, but it is definitely worth a trip. You have to go for a few days but there are sooooo many rides and they're all crazy. So fun!
@Sarah - Sandusky, Ohio. Google the park. You'll see what we mean. It RULES!
@turn_about_the_room@xanga - I've always wanted to go to Ohio anyway. I'll try convincing the parentals. :D
How can I just be hearing of this "Cedar Point" now? Huh. I'll say Busch Gardens--I've been to the one in Tampa--but I haven't been to any Six Flags yet.
Oh, and Disney is very overrated. Long lines and not enough kick ass rides. (plus super high cost)
KENNYWOOD!!!
But then again, I'm a Pittsburgh native and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
@JadedJanissary@xanga - hell yeah!
Cedar Point by miles and miles. Disney sucks for people who like thrill rides, which would include me. haha.
I'm a rollercoaster fanatic. I try to go to a new park every year. It was supposed to Six Flags in New Jersey this year, but plans fell through. So hopefully Busch Gardens doesn't fail me.
I love to visit amusement parks. It’s full of fun and I like rides too. It’s my childhood friend.
I love "Men in Black" at Universal Studios in FL but for a roller coaster, I like "Apollo's Chariot" and "Griffon" at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA

Blue Cross
I guess I will be the odd one out here and say...
Schlitterbahn
Instead of Cedar Point.
well, the one I've been to the most is Hershey Park, and since I don't have much to compare it to (Dutch Wonderland....Knoebels.....both very kid oriented) its probably my favorite. I was at a Six Flags (NJ I think) once but it was very full that day and we didn't get on too many rides. Oh, and I was at Adventure World (MD) when I was a kid, but I don't remember much from it.
