Do You Believe in the Lost Empire of Atlantis?
The lost empire of Atlantis has been debated for centuries. Some think Atlantis is complete fiction, others think there is truth behind the sunken city.
What do you think? Is Atlantis out there somewhere, or did Plato's buddies make the whole thing up?

I hope it's true. when I was little (heck even now) I imagined being part of a team that went and found Atlantis. yes, just like that cartoon movie. lol
Yes I believe it is out there somewhere.
I hope so. I think the idea of it existing is very cool.
I hope it's true. It would be awesome if it did exist!
I completely believe in it's existence. Edgar Cayce has convinced me
@Roadlesstaken@xanga - Same.
think so ^__^
I would hope its true. that would be so cool
I went there when I was like 8. God I hate road trips with family. So lame.
i believe it as much as i believe that the tooth fairy makes castles from collected teeth.
It must have been pure luck to run across this post, I actually wrote a post about Atlantis the other day after talking with my hubby about it.
While he doesn't agree with it being real, I must say I still hope that maybe it is. I have to agree with @lisado@xanga I used to dream about that kind of thing to when I was younger.
why would plato make it up? that kind of thing could ruin his genius reputation. :P it's out there somewhere.
also, that was my favorite movie up until i was about 10. lol.
It's on another planet in the Pegasus galaxy. Don't y'all watch Stargate?!?!
Ah... the mythical lost paradise city. Yes, I'd like to believe that, together with Shambhala - the mythical paradise that inspire the Shangri-La legend and the movie.
maybe! it's made by outer planet aliens.
Yes. Wow. I remembered back in High School, I wrote a research paper on this and I got a high score too!
I am certain,and many members of "the Defenders of the earth" are certain of this truth:the lost continent had exist and survive ...somewhere!
The egyptians,the mayans,the aztecs,some amerindians (the attikamecs,for exemple) and many other peoples are their descendants.
In Canada,the attikameks ,living in the north of the lake St-John (lac St-Jean,in french) confirm this origin!When I was thirteen years old,an very old man of this nation told me about the legend of Katulak.Katulak was the god of thunder.He came many years (generations,in fact) before the europeans.He teached the agriculture,the art of war,the domestication of some animals,and was a great legislator.This legend is reveal in the Sioux culture.The attikamek are...probably affiliate with this native branch.
In the natives culture and art,Katulak was at the origin of "a very great social event".
In the legend,he came "from the sky",on his "shield of fire"!
His origin seems to coexist with the arrivals of the "egyptians,their pyramids and the great sphynx!"
i believe in ghosts, the supernatural and the bermuda triangle, i believe in the lost empire of atlantis.
It's very cool to see how many people believe in it. I didn't know much about the topic aside from watching the cartoon movie and talking about it with my friends once. It's really interesting to know how many opinions there are on the subject.
i believe it was once a real and beautiful city
@niceBrice@xanga - haha atlantic city?
Yes, actually I do believe in the lost empire of Atlantis. It was not a space ship, it was not built by space aliens, and it did not sink. I think that long ago, the continents were together and formed a giant land mass. When the continents broke up, Atlantis, got a bum deal, as it drifted south, and became Antarctica. You can go to http://www.helium.com/items/1117964-was-atlantis-in-antarctica to learn more.
@OldFashioned@xanga - Atlantic City? No way. That place is just a myth, created by East Coast gamblers--their Lost Las Vegas.
@niceBrice@xanga - You are hysterical.
Hell yeah! I also believe in gnomes, Yahweh, Tinkerbell, and the Tooth Fairy.
Baloney. The lot of them.
