Where Do You Think the Best Beaches Are?
My friends often take family trips to Cancun and Aruba, but the most beaching I have ever done has been in the states. How often do you go out of the country to vacation at beaches? Where do you think the most exotic beaches are outside of the U.S.? What's unique about them?

I LOVE Aruba. My favorite place to vacation at :)
very cliche but Cancun. The water is blue blue blue. So blue it looks fake. Bahamas water was clear too, but I think it was emerald color
I visit Miami beach a lot (I live here lol) and I visit Roatan (Island off the coast of Honduras) a buttload since my summer home is there. The beaches there are BEAUTIFUL! My family is from Honduras so I've been able to enjoy their unspoiled rich beaches all my life but now that its becoming a popular tourist destination (they've built a luxury hotel across the bay from us and cruise lines have recently begun adding Roatan as a check point) I feel tourists will come and mess everything up.
I recently returned from the Dominican Republic which is becoming a hot-spot, especially for Europeans. I met people from all sorts of places there though.
The beaches were GORGEOUS! We went to several, but my favorites were the ones that are harder to get to (therefore not a lot of tourists and more locals). Google Samana (Playa Rincon, Playa Bonita, Las Terrenas, Cayo Levantado). All of those were fabulous. We also went to Punta Cana (Barcelo Resort - Premium on, I think the name was Bavaro Beach). It was gorgeous as well!
The water was BLUE BLUE at most of those places and the sand was nearly white. It was beautiful.
I don't travel just for beaches though. I like to get some of the culture and other stuff as well.
I've never been to a beach outside of the country, even though I lived in Spain for three months during the fall, which was PERFECT beach weather. I was kinda depressed, broke, and didn't know anyone there, and frankly, without friends, the beach means nothing to me.
However, in the states, I love Michigan's Warren Dunes. It's a nice, big beach, with clay pits and a forest behind it. Running up and down the dunes with friends is hilarious and a great source of exercise. :)
laguna beach CA it was georgous!!
Tennessee has the BEST beaches
.

Thailand: Various beaches like Kata, Patong at Phuket (http://www.thongtinnhatban.net/photo/data/504/Phuket_Thailand.jpg)
Maldives: Male Beach (http://www.flickr.com/photos/maapu/2199793051/)
Bonaire! Anywhere with white coral sand is good, but Bonaire is also not very touristy and has plenty of marine life!
@Audiofreak18@xanga - lol
Bahamas, Brazil had some sexy beaches =P, and I've heard Monaco, France's beach is just breathtakingly beautiful.
Charleston?
I'm going to Aruba in a few years for my friend's 30th birthday. I can't wait.
I really like San Diego and Encinitas in Cali. It was just so chill and relaxing.
The only reason I like the Jersey shore is b/c I know where everything is and always have a good time. I'm not too crazy about some of the beaches there though.
the black sand beaches in new zealand are amazing!
South Padre Island. Cartagena.
I've never been to any beaches outside of the United States, but there is one beach that my family and I travel to every summer here. The best beach EVER is in Siesta Key, Florida. That place is to die for. The water is clear and blue and beautiful, and the sand is almost white. It's gorgeousssss (: It's definitely worth the 16 hour drive we have to take from Ohio ahahhahaha
Anywhere in the Carribean.
Puerto Vallarta
<3
Mexico beaches all the way!!!!
Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Escondido, CancĂºn, Acapulco, Los Cabos, Cabo San Lucas, MazatlĂ¡n, i could go on for ever. And they are all beautiful..
I went to Greece and their beaches are so beauitful and clear. Also the drop is very gradual and you can enjoy the water up to your mid chest while your feet is touching the ground for a good 10-15 ft out. Very beautiful
I've only been to Jamaica and I was too young to remeber.
Since most people seem to think Hawaii isn't apart of the US but some foreign country and since I grew up there I am going to say the best beaches are there. Maui of course.
You have beaches with people. Beaches with no people. Nude beaches. Clothed Beaches. Beaches with water falls. Beaches with cliffs.
Aw life's a beach.
;D
Cape Cod & Martha's Vineyard, cleanest water ever
the area around the mediterranean has lovely coastal area too
Only beach I've ever been to outside the US was at a resort on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Let it be known that I very much prefer my beautiful FL Gulf coast beaches over that one. I prefer the Gulf anyway, the ocean is too rough and the sand is too hard on the Atlantic coast; our white, soft beaches and clear waters are just better. *shrug*
Bali, Indonesia. Many2 beaches... And the Thousand Islands off of Jakarta. Amazing places.
THE CAYMAN ISLANDS!!!
The renowned 7-mile Beach on Grand Cayman is completely breath-taking. Miles of snow-white sand and sparkling clear waters that stay shallow for a good 15-20 feet out.But then again.. being Caymanian might make me a touch biased ;P
