  • 10 DONT'S of Vegas

If you've already seen The Hangover in theaters, you were probably recently reminded of all the things that can go wrong in Vegas. Not quite as exaggerated as the incidents in The Hangover, VegasChatter.com has compiled a practical list of 10 things to NOT do when visiting Las Vegas, including  eating cheap and drinking before your massage.  Read the list here and add your own comments.

Have you ever been to Vegas? Did you ever do something on this list and regret it?

I have never been to Vegas.

I was in Vegas for 1 night a few years ago. Not long enough to do anything too crazy.

    I live in Vegas...100% true. Some that I want to point out is #3, 5, 8 +9

#3 - Don't wear flip-flops either! A month ago, it had already hit 100+ degress! At that tempature, your flipflops will melt walking on the strip.

#5 - You will be served plastic at those prices...at the same time, Going to the "Stations" Outside of Vegas, is pretty good..on a good day. For me, A friday at Sam's Town, Crabs Shrimp and Sushi $18, worth it for me.

    #8 - Just yeah...Mindfreak because I paid for that.

#9 - It is official that I am a veteran at this, so I know where to go,when to go, and how to get there quick (sometimes, even the time the plane waits), so I can do the 30 minute jog/fast pace walk, and get there fine. Get there earlier by any means neccessary, and save the sleeping for the flight. (McCarran isn't one of the nicest big airports i've been to, good job to them)

Don't go as a kid..trust me it sucks. There's nothing to do there as a kid. Even the arcade smells like cigarette smoke.

I'm a Vegas pro, I was there about a month ago.

Here's my don't. DON'T WEAR HEELS!!! We figured since we were taking the monorail from MGM to the Harrah's station, we would only have to walk from Harrahs to the Wynn. You don't realize how much walking is involved in Vegas until the blisters start hurting.

Comfy shoes. Actually, just wear tennis shoes, even with those slutty dresses!

Another Don't, if you're going on vacation, splurge on a nice hotel. It's a once in a lifetime kind of trip for some people. I don't recommend staying at old hotels like the Tropicana when there are some great deals for the 5 star hotels right now

well #10 was stupid; its suggestion instead of partying all night was "Instead: Book a night flight. That way you can continue the party on the plane." how does one party on a commercial flight?

    all night partying, ftw.

Can someone tell me what was so bad about Criss Angel's Believe? I live in Vegas and I never get the chance to watch any of the shows here. :(

  • somethingbluee@xanga

i was just in vegas in april... and very agree with #8 see Criss Angel's Believe. i was very disappointed.

  • nooitzben@xanga

@PrincessYnattirb@xanga - i agree..i live in las vegas and see parents bringing their kids/babies all the time to an adult entertainment place so idiotic of them. Taking your kids to las vegas is like taking a hooker to disney land. Yet parents STILL do it.

    @xsherryxkimx@xanga -

The criss angel show  was not that good. Luckily i watched it for free. There wasn't any real magic tricks..most of it was used with tv screens, big contraptions, it just seemed really skeptical. a lot of dancing/acting/special effects...somehow i just wasnt entertained or interested in the show the whole time i was there...should just try to watch another show like mystere..that wasn't bad.
