  • What is the Best Airline?

    source

What do you think is the best airline? Which one is the worst?

Qantas, the Australian airline, was AWESOME! I guess any flight or airline where you spend almost an entire day and night on a plane, they generally want to keep you happy.  Each seat has an individual television set that also you a variety of free movies, programs, and music to enjoy. The airline provides you with two meals and two snacks, unlimited beverage service, and a complimentary hygiene package that includes a toothbrush and toothpaste, a hot towel, and other comfort items to make your flight more enjoyable. When I flew on Qantas, I had a terrible cold. The flight attendants continually brought me cups of hot tea for my sore throat and when I finally fell asleep, they removed my cup of scalding tea so as not to spill it. Also, when we landed, my bag did not arrive. I was irritated but Qantas provided me with a kit that had deodorant, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. They also provided a $50 stipend. When my bag did arrive, they drove it the four hours to where I was staying. Talk about customer service!

AirTran, a US based airline, is the WORST! But, their flights are dirt cheap, so I guess it's OK. You have to lug your own luggage through the security and checkpoints, the staff is really rude, and the flights are always delayed or canceled.

What is your favorite airline? What was your worst experience?

@Audiofreak18@xanga - Oceanic IS quite good.

I hate flying, but i have to admit that KLM was pretty good, too.  They had just about the best food I've had on an in-flight meal, plus they were pretty nice.

best: singapore airlines. worst: china air.  why??? singapore airlines has great service, decent food not to mention pretty flight attendants and i love their uniforms.  the flight attendants always look so polished and professional.  china air is the worst cause their seats are crampy, small, worst service ever, disgusting food and scary flight record.  seems like every 4 years they crash or emergency land.  i dont want to fly with them if my life depended on it oh wait i take that back...if i still have a life after i fly with them :} one time i had to pee and it was safe (seat belt sign was off) but when i got up one of the female flight attendants told me to sit down.  like i could hold in my pee...WTF.  i only fly singapore airlines now.

I've flown with Delta, AA, Southwest, and lately United and they're all the same to me.  My favorite is EasyJet, a regional airline in Europe.  Due to my picky nature, I starved myself instead of eating something that I wasn't fond of the night before so I was really hungry during the flight.  One of the flight attendants gave me his breakfast, which included a bagel, a croissant, and a fruit juice.  He was sooo nice and quite good looking too.  I'll fly with EasyJet again if I'm ever back in Europe. =)

I don't think Qantas is that superb. You were just lucky and probably not during peak season.

i've flown since i was little.  I've been on countless flights with different airlines.  Even the obscure ones Ata, Spirit, Lufthansa... you name it.

Domestic flights are domestic flights... they are so-so or average at best (unless you fly first class for those 2 hour flights like those rich jerks)
for International, my all-time favorite goes to Korean Airline.  I love their food, but nothing and i mean NOTHING compares to their on-board entertainment.  You get your own private screen & extension remote control.  No more fumbling with your armrest controls trying not to poke your neighbors' side.  They offer dozens of straight out of the theatre movies and tv shows, AND VIDEO GAMES.  They might be oldschool video games, but my goodness do they take the boredom out of 10+ hour flights.  They also have a cool multiplayer function so you can play tetris or other games with other passengers on the plane.  Their lovely flight attendent ladies are always courteous and pleasant.

All-time WORST airline goes to UNITED AIRLINES for domestic & international both.
They are not even that cheap.  They charge for checked bags on international flights too. Their economy seats are extra small.  Their aisle seat armrests don't go up. They are almost always delayed.  I just always have a bad experience in one way or another with United... they just suck period.

I liked Virgin Atlantic quite a bit.

I like JAL= My favorite, but Korean Airlines is probably the second. The worst experience that I had would be between Delta and Northwest... When I traveled from Japan to America on Delta,  you don't have to use game controlers because its a touch screen. It was a horrible choice because the whole way to America, the guy behid me was banging on the touch screen. I couldn't sleep at ALL. Northwest was the time when there was this HUGE lady beside me, and she stunk to the high heavens. At least the ride was 50 minutes, eh?

I don't know but United is one of the worst.

my favourite is Singapore Airlines! :D good service and food and comfortable seat plus entertainment. second love would the Thai Airlines. probably because i was flying that airline for 16 odd hours. service was good and its nice also.(:

i think im lucky to not have bad experience yet. (:

My favorite is Singapore Airlines. The staff is nice and professional. The food isn't all that bad. The inflight entertainment is entertaining.

I will never ever fly with KLM again. Their staff is rude. The food is bad. And they're mad expensive! I will choose a flight with multiple stopovers if I can avoid to fly with KLM that way.

Flew on QF71 from Perth recently. The younger stewardesses are generally rude and frowning.  Remembered one with name starting with letter "A". Worst I have ever seen. Probably why they have to merge to survive and offer cheap fares. No more Qantas for me. Rather pay slightly more for better airlines like Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific.

I've been flying since I was very young, which has given me a chance to experience many different airlines.

    Here are my picks:

For international flights, my favourite airline is British Airways.  The flight attendants were very pleasant, the food was excellent, and I liked the little kit that came on every seat with a toothbrush, toothpaste, a sleep mask, and a pair of socks.

For domestic flights, my favourite airline is Jet Blue. the flight attendants are great, and so are their customer service representatives.  I once left my winter coat on a flight, and they managed to track it down and bring it back to me before I got my connecting flight.

As far as terrible airlines, my two least favourites are Ryan Air and United.  I don't like Ryan Air because you have to pay for everything on the plane, and because I experienced one of the worst landings on a Ryan Air flight.  I don't like United because they've lost my luggage far too many times, cancelled flights on me, and their seats are incredibly cramped.
