QOTD: Do You Like to Try Extreme Sports When You Travel?
Some people like testing out extreme sports in different countries, such as rock climbing, sky diving, and rafting. New Zealand is very popular for its extreme sports and even invented zorbing (rolling yourself down a hill in an air-filled plastic ball).
Do you like to try extreme sports when you travel?

I like extreme sports all the time....
I like extreme sports, but can't try. I'm too old.
I'd love to try glacier hiking and swim with dolphins in New Zealand. It'd be lots of fun.
nope :X
I haven't travelled much, but I want to try zorbing - it looks awesome!
im down!!
Woooooo........ Extreme Sports, I like it.
That would be fun. The most extreme things I've done were snorkeling in the Great Barrier reef, by a giant groper fish (super freaky), and repelling down the side of a castle wall in assisi, italy.
For some reason, I find myself braver to do things that I wouldn't normally do when I'm traveling. Just last weekend, I went parasailing at Catalina Islands when we stopped over there from a cruise. This is something I wouldn't do considering that I'm afraid of heights and cannot swim well
yes! i just recently went to new zealand and australia where i tried zorbing myself. it was so much fun! we also went zip lineing in the rainforest and luging and bungee jumping. i also did the bridge climb but i wouldnt say thats extreme. haha
my boyfriend went bungee jumping in Bali
Is New Zealand the only place people do that? It looks awesome.
Zorbing seems really fun. I wouldn't mind doing that :D
I did go skydiving 2 years back but it wasn't really because of traveling. I just wanted to do it. Haha
I wanna go bungee jumping, but I need to get to Malaysia first I think ^^
i wanna try zorbing! hahah!
@C0ll33Ncorps@xanga - not sure, but it's the only place I've heard of people doing it!
Check out the inventors of zorbing's website: http://www.theogo.com - they have a history and timeline of zorbing as well as locations in the USA where you can do it.
You've heard the time old adage, "Live every day, like it was your last". I haven't found anything comparable to seeking out the rush of adventure sports when i travel. The danger, unpredictability & the nagging risk of death in the back of my mind gets adrenaline coursing through my veins like nothing else. You simply must take risks, not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping you. The ultimate adrenaline rushes the must be experienced to be believed are base jumping, sky diving & bungy jumping! Go on, take the plunge!
