* I collect "hello", "Thank you" and "goodbye" in different languages. :) I think I have more somewhere in my brain, but they're not coming out right now. It's so much fun, and nothing can describe the look on peoples' faces when I say something in their own language...it's like a mix of surprise, relief, and pride.
hola, bonjour, 你好 (ni hao in Mandarin, nong hao in Shanghainese), konichi wa, jambo, guten tag, anyang haseyo... and i think it's "hej" in Danish, and "buongiorno" in Italian, but i'm not sure.
@Random_Goldfish@xanga - what language is "dia dhuit"?
Hmmm...Let's see...English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Korean (I think), Japanese...And my Russian friend told me how to say it in Russian the other day, but unfortunately, I completely forgot :S
@EccentricSiren@xanga - I forget Russian all the time too. I know the word "prevyet", but I can't remember if that's hello or thank you.
Shalom = Hello and Goodbye and peace :)
A lot since I have a Flickr account...
hello, hola, bonjour, kumusta, ciao, anyongsaeyo (sp?), jambo, nihaoma
Hello. xD
In Mandarin it would be "Ni hao."
In Cantonese it would be "Ney Ho."
In Japanese it would depend on the time of day. Since it's morning right now it would be "Ohayo!" (Good morning)
@kachino@xanga - LMAO... me too! But I'm sure you don't remember them all!
@BerryBerries@xanga - Ohayo or OHIO? ;)
@anne - Really? Want to test me?
@kachino@xanga - Swahili... go!
@anne - Jambo! (after 100 click of the refresh button)...
Other people covered my intended response, already. Haha. Except I'd count Cantonese as a dialect, but whatever =].
@anne - in Tshiluba?
Hint: Mayo...
hello, hola, bonjour, guten tag, konnichiwa (sp?), ciao...
those are all the ones i can think of.
and i dont even know if they're right.
i can only speak english and some spanish though.

@kachino@xanga - haha ^_~
Hello, bonjour (and salut), hola, guten tag, aloha, jen dobra (sp? - Polish), the ASL sign for hello, konichiwa, shalom (which I use way too much for my own good)
