It depends on the airport and the day/time.
If youre getting on a 6am flight at DFW, you could probably get there at 5:30 and still be good to go. If you're getting on a weekend flight in ATL, you could probably show up an hour and a half early and still miss the flight because that airport is a city within itself.
I try to get to the airport an hour before the fight in general because tend to pick early-morning, weekday flights.
Depending what time the taxi pick us up from our house for the flight out,
It is all depending on where we are going to, usually 2 and half to 3 and half hours, so we are usually one of the first to check in, so after going through passport control, secruity etc, gives some extra time to get a meal in the airport, do some shopping (puzzle books, magazines etc),
On the transfer back to the airport for the flight home all depending on the traffic, what time we get picked up by the coach rep (since we go by coach) it is usually 2 1/2 half sometimes less but we have never miss our flight.
TOO EARLY...
At least a few hours early. For example, flight=10 AM; arrive at airport=7AM.
Yea, I'm not usually so early, but I sure don't want to miss my flight. That'll be a headache. Ane with all the security checks and the traffic jam in the lines, and the slow people. Yea, 'nuff said.
I try to arrive two hours before takeoff, domestic or international.
I could probably safely arrive one hour, since it is Kansas City (MCI), and the setup of the airport has one security checkpoint for each five-to-seven gates.
2-3 hours.
2 Hours...It really sucks.
Usually at least two hours.
I'm pretty OCD about my air travel. For international flights, I get there like 3 hours early. For domestic, maybe 2 hours. I like to have at least 3 hours for my layovers too, if I have any. But I looove to people-watch and explore, especially if it's a new airport for me.
It depends on the airport and the flight time.
Sioux Falls airport...1 hour is usually sufficient.
Early morning flights (i.e. 6 am)...1 hour is usually sufficient.
All others...I allow 2 hours. I'd rather be early and sit and read a book at the gate rather than be late.
mommi knows best: 3 hours before departure.
For local flights one hour early for international at least two.
too early. i am paranoid
Two hours.
2 hours is a good amount of time.
@d0llh0use@xanga - i agree:)
Two hours before ETD (Estimate Time Departure)
Usually 2 to 3 hours.
I try to arrive early anywhere, just because I'm a punctuality freak like that. I haven't gone out of the country ever, but I still arrive like two to three hours before my flight, just in case something crazy happens.
Usually 2 hours. Sometimes 3 depending on where I'm flying out from.
Normally 2 hours. But it also depends on my departure time as well. If it's close to the rush hours then I make it 3 or maybe 4 hours :)
My family is usually 2-3 hours early :/
Always too early.
an hr & half to two hrs?
2 hours, even when it's 4 in the morning
