Creepy Tales From A Bangkok Hotel
Inspired by foongpc's post about his ghostly experience with Penang Hotel, I thought I would share what I had encountered previously at a hotel in Bangkok.
This happened a few years back, when twelve of us (including four lecturers) from the course that I was attending, flew to Bangkok fora field trip. Upon arrival, the first thing we did was to check in to our hotel but due to some miscommunication, the rooms which we hadbooked earlier were not available.
Fortunately, the front desk managed to upgrade us to a suite which had a splendid bird's eye view of the whole Bangkok landscape.
Basically, the structure of the hotel was built in a circular shape as shown in the 'top-view' illustration below.

The three female lecturers were in Room A whereas two female students were allocated to Room C. I shared Room E with two other guys while Room F went to the remaining three girls. The male lecturer who joined us on a later flight stayed in Room H by himself.
As the story goes, we would gather at the female lecturers' room (Room A) for a debrief every night, sharing what we have seen and learned that day and a run through of the next day's program.
After the debrief ended, we would return to our rooms via the clockwise direction, sending the two girls back to Room C, then back to our rooms in E and F which was only a door away.
That particular night, after sending the two girls back to Room C, the remaining six of us proceed to return to our rooms as usual. Unexpectedly, we found ourselves ending up outside Room A.
Initially, we thought that we have been too engrossed talking among ourselves to realise we have actually overshot our rooms. Thus, we make our way back to our rooms in the clockwise direction again but somehow, we ended up outside Room A once more.
Puzzled, we make our way back to our room for the third time and this time, we recite aloud the room number which was indicated on the door as we walked passed each room.A,
B,
C,
D,
G!
H!
Where's E and F?The horrors!
We began to panic and banged on the lecturers' door who after hearing our story, tried to convince us that we "had a rather long day and were simply exhausted..."
But, isn't it baffling how all six of us failed to locate our rooms thrice?
Left with no other choice, we went in search of our rooms again and much to our relief, Room E and Room F reappeared mysteriously!
It was bizzare how such a thing could have happened but stranger still was what happened the next morning, when we went looking for the lecturers at their room, hoping to go for breakfast together.
We knocked for a while but no one answered the door. We leaned our ears against the door and we heard people talking inside with the TV playing in the background. Perhaps, the lecturers had things to discuss and the TV volume probably drowned our knockings so we left for breakfast without them.
We were astonished, however, when we reached the restaurant to find all the four lecturers there, having second helpings of their breakfast already. If they were there at the restaurant, then who was it we heard talking inside their room and how did the TV set turn on, when the lecturers had their card keys with them?Of course, we kept it to ourselves becuse the lecturers won't believe our stories anyway.
Fortunately, the remaining days of our field trip went on smoothly without any more mishaps even though I do feel a little uneasy inside my room at night. It was only after we returned to Singapore when we discovered that most of the pictures that we took inside the lecturer's room had quite a bit of orbs. One of the girls in Room F also finally revealed something that happened in their room. Apparently, they were turning in for the night when one of them thought she saw a figure crouching on the ceiling (like Spiderman) above them in the darkness. She quickly turned sideways only to find her roommate staring back at her with "I-saw-it-too" written all over her face.
I don't know how the girls did it, but I believe they had spent the most terrifying night of their lives in Room F. (I'm amazed they didn't come banging on our doors!)

That is scary. I am NOT going to stay in a circular hotel anymore.
omg. i would've been so terrified, i'd make all my friends come over for the night and not go to sleep at all!Â
awsome story
That's really weird. I don't know what to make of it. It's certainly not like your average ghost story. More like a time-space warp or something. Wow.
oh man. i JUST came back from bangkok. this is freaky stuff. luckily our rooms were fine.
mind to share which hotel is it? i going in july..
Yeah what PrincessMic said, when I go back I really hope to avoid this.....!
Great, I'm creeped out now. Time to find my night light now before bed!
Crazzzzy! I hope I'm never victim to anything like that!
Now I am going to have nightmares. Thank you very much, sir/ma'am.
The part about the figure on the ceiling gave me goosebumps. I would think seeing Spider-Man hanging from your ceiling would be awesome but nope...creeeeepy.
I didn't know my story was featured. Thanks!
@stevew918@xanga - I believe they are pretty harmless. Just don't antagonize them.
@mr_faust@xanga - Thanks!
@Ampbreia@xanga - I'm also not sure what happened. We didn't see any apparitions but we do feel our skin crawl. Strange as it may sound but truth is, it did happened.
@princessMic@xanga - @Lordv16@xanga - I believe most hotels would have such things. No running away as long as you stay in a hotel. Just try to avoid rooms at the end of corridors or near exits where those things like to linger around.
that is so freaky!
it was either the housekeepers or Samara!!!!!!
I have heard many people travel to Bangkok for special reasons involving the occult. It seems one way to achieve good fortune and wealth is to pray to some kind of fetus in Bangkok. When you return to your home country, an offering of incense must be burnt and one must return to pray in Bangkok within a certain number of years. badIf for some reason this return visit was not carried out, bad things will happen to you. Has anyone else heard of or had partaken of these occult practises in Bangkok or elsewhere in Asia?
Wow, if this happened to me, I probably would have checked out of that hotel! First, I would have peed in my pants and cried, Mama!
that is so creepy
Creepy. My boyfriend would cry if you told him this story. Seriously. He cries when he hears creepy stories like this.
@roy_j@xanga - Yep, that is the so-called black magic. Usually businessmen would keep these 'fetus spirits' to protect their business.
There is often hotels creepy tales around the world.
DON'T SCARE ME. :( Ugh I'm freaked out. >.>
