I like the Exorcist...
I like to watch foreign movies. I don't really have a favorite but I probably watch more Japanese films because I am studying Japanese.....
I love foreign movies, and I make it a point to watch them often.
I speak French, and I enjoyed Amelie a lot. It's funny to watch American movies dubbed over in French, too; I saw Forrest Gump, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Babe that way. My AP French class back in high school made our own French version of the Christmas Story, as well. It was absolutely hilarious.
But I particularly enjoy old Akira Kurosawa movies and Hayao Miyazaki's animated films (both are from Japan).
Another specific foreign film I like is Run, Lola, Run from Germany.
I could go on and on, so I'll stop here.
I love foreign films! ^_^ Mostly French ("A Very Long Engagement," "Amélie," "Paris, Je T'Aime"... I'm dying to see "La vie en rose"!), Italian (LOVE "Cinema Paradiso," "La vita è bella" & "La tigre e la neve") & Japanese (not the horror films that Hollywood remakes from Japan & Korea, more the manga to live-action movie adaptations & films that make you think: "Casshern," "NANA," "Moon Child," "Last Quarter," "Kamikaze Girls"... I love Miyazaki's animated films; "Howl's Moving Castle" & "Spirited Away" are my favorite ^_^).
I like some French movies, but also Spanish, Thai and Italian.
If you like horror watch the spanich movie REC !!!! a must see
I like foreign films, particularly from China, Korea and Japan.
Some of my favorites: from Korea; Taegukgi, The Way Home,
From Japan: Kikujiro, Kagemusha, The Samurai/Musashi Trilogy, (and I want to watch Kids Return).
From China: Fearless, Hero, and a few others.
@methodElevated@xanga - I wish I could speak french. Run Lola Run was awesome!
@meliann16@xanga - The actress in La Vie En Rose was great! I think I'm going to write down all the movies you listed and watch them. You've watched so many from all over the place... haha.
i like foreign movies! don't really have a fav but most i watch are american
hong kong movies are mostly rubbish. :P
@jacinta@momaroo - lol i agree hk movies suck. except the infernal affair series they were soo good. especially the first one
Yes, yes, yes. French (particularly noir and suspense), German (esp. Fritz Lang), Danish (or, at least, anything directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer), Japanese. And the older the better.
I love foreign films! Let The Right One In was one of my favorite movies last year.
I'm not a big fan because I feel like I get lost in the subtitles
Sometimes.
Oh for sure! My Sassy Girl has to be one of my favorite.
how ironic, i just rented amelie from my university library. i highly recommend the french film called, "love me if you dare." it is about a boy and a girl who starts a game in their childhood - daring each other to do crazy things - which continues into adulthood. i think french films are messed up... and yet, brilliant!
I love watching movies from China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan [:
I have too many favorites [: I like their horrors more than the American ones, and the American adaptations of them, but they scare me so much more T--T
I love Amelie! Another foreign film that I watched recently was Let the Right One In, creepy but good.
swedish soft porn
@Roadlesstaken@xanga - all my friends loved My Sassy Girl (korean version). I haven't seen the american version, but people say it's not as good.
My Sassy Girl, My Girl are two of my all-time favorites for Asian movies. Paris, Je T'aime, Amelie, are another two from French movies. And so many others that I can't even think of them right now LOL.
Another one I love is Once, even though it's in English also lol.
im pretty sure I've only seen 3 foreign movies in my life...
2 of them in French class lol
and the other one was Pans Labrynth. (Spain)
very good movie.
the french ones... not so much lol
I do but I couldn't STAND Amelie. She was like, a retarded pervert.
@bluntcrayon@xanga - love me if you dare is such a good movie!
it's really the only foreign film I've seen, but I like them for some reason. and amelie is on my list for if I sign up for netflix ever.
I do but majority of them have been french, but id love to watch others, cause i'm always looking forward to something new and exciting from the other countries around thr world.
