YO! Drink Up!
Every group has a toast they like to say right before they drink into the sweet sweet nectar sitting in the cup in their hands. When I was in Brazil last year, we learned that the toast was "Saúde!", which was pronounced (sah-yoo-dee). We ended up using that whenever we drank for the rest of our trip through Brazil.
My personal favorite that my friends and I use is a lot simpler, which is especially useful when you're too drunk to sound out too many syllables. We simply say "Yo!".
I found this list of drinking toasts for different countries here:
French …….. “A votre sante!”
Italian ……... “ Alla Salute!”
British……… “Cheers!”
Hungarian…. “Egé szé gé re!”
Japanese…… “Kanpai!”
Polish……… “Na Zdrowie!”
Russian……. “Za vashe zdorovye!”
Greek……… “Yasas!”
Chinese…… “Wen Lie!”
Irish……….. “Slainte!”
Swedish…… “Skal!”
Brazilian….. “Saúde!”
Spanish…… “Salud!”
German…… “Prosit!”
Zulu(Africa). “Ooogy Wawa!”
India......"Tulleeho!"
Which toasts does your group use? Are there any toasts from your country not on the list?

Prost!
we usually sing a small segment of a song usually " I take the bottle and I tip it for all my heros that have passed alas you've left us but your stories they will last uninspired by the recruiting call independent we stand independent we fall" then we chug whatever we're drinking usually vodka or 151 or something.
actually in chinese it's gan bei... and korean is similar but i can't remember what it is exactly
korean got left out :*(
racist!!! hahaha jk. where did "wen lie" (chinese) come from. its not wen lie its kanpai (mandarin). get the facts straight OR is it cause its chinese so you want to get it wrong *fishy* hahaha jk.
@d0llh0use@xanga - haha, it's funny that Korean isn't on the list that he found because all of my Koreans friends can drink like fish and not get drunk 'til way after all of us.
@anne - True! Koreans can DRINK!
@anne - haha yeah. koreans can take their liquor. soju is just water or yogurt drinks to koreans. even after everybody gets drunk we're still not drunk :}
Whenever my dad and his friends get together and drink, they usually yell "Dô" which is pronounced with the Y in "yo" and the O sound in "dough."
It literally means "in" as in scoring a goal when a soccer ball goes in the net. (Soccer is really big in Vietnam!)
@tigerdauphin@xanga - Thanks for the info!
@dannyb0y@xanga - I just realized the O in dough is not quite the right sound. I guess it's just the language difference. lol.
Ooogy Wawa! Shall we pronounce it fast, like short and quick, or should we pronounce it slow and stretch the vowels?
I'm thirsty
Bonsai!
hahahaha i wanan be zulu!!! ooooggy waaaa wahhh! =]]

Ahaha we're pretty basic in our saying of Cheers, it gets more loud and prolonged and sloppy as we work through a couple rounds. I think next time I'm drinking I shall mix it up for Zulu ^^
