I now live in New York, but it's still cool to hear that
Barack Obama will be visiting the city I lived in for over 20 years. When I'm traveling, there are very few people who've ever even heard of Orange County so I normally have to say L.A. just to give them a general approximation of where I'm from so things like this are big (not that we haven't had other big name politicians visit our neighborhood).
Barack Obama will be conducting his speech at the
Orange County Fairgrounds which is literally a 15-20 minute drive from my home in California. His speech will begin at 4pm tomorrow, March 18, and the public is welcome to be present on a first come first serve basis. Tickets will be passed out to the public beginning at 10am today at the OC Fairgrounds so get them before they're gone! The capacity limit is 3,000.
Would you be interesting in going to meet President Obama and hear his speech?

That is sooooooooooooo awesome!!!! I would totally go if I was back in Orange County!
For his own safety, I really hope I never meet him.
@Audiofreak18@xanga - I have to say I agree.
Obama is not on my top ten list. When he was out here where I live I would have sided with the protesters... The reason I did not go. I do not and will not ever be interested in anything he has to say. But that is my personal opinion.
@malissa1578@xanga - that's interesting. i wonder if there will be any protesters in Orange County.
Yes! He was in Philadelphia on the campaign trail and I really really wanted to go!! He gave his speech less then 3 houses down from my great grandmother's place. I would have had an excellent seat!!
I'm planning on seeing him next time he comes around my way. I doubt I'll be able to get "campaign" close, but I think it would still be interesting to be a part of.
I wished I could have taken some time off from work to see our President - I live about 15 minutes from OC Fairgrounds. Boo!
@Audiofreak18@xanga - I have to say the same for myself. He'd do well to steer clear of Kansas in general and not just me.
No I would never go see him. He has nothing relevant to say. He's just a puppet of the Democratic party. He's only going to be there to go to Leno. RIDICULOUS! Take care of our country. What a fucking idiot. There are better things that he could be doing. I don't think it's very exciting to be able to say he'll be the first to be on a late night talk show or any talk show for that matter while in office.
@anne - There will be protesters anywhere.
