  • Journey to Alishan in Taiwan Part 2

    Guest post by icapillas

As I've mention in my previous blog, cherry blossoms are one of Alishan's major attractions. The place is usually crowded with tourists from all walks of life in mid March when the flowers are in full bloom.

    Happy faces...

    More trees...

As we continue to walk along, something interesting caught my eye... So, this is how digitalis looks like!

    Okay, as we move on...

We arrive at a wishing basin (?) , and threw in a dollar...who knows, my wish might come true?!

    More happy faces...

The architecture behind Nic is Starbucks

We were so lucky to be able to catch the old train on our way back...

    Alas, dinner is ready...奮起湖便當!

    Homebound...TATA!!!

Will you be making a trip to see any cherry blossoms this year?

    Mmmmmm... cupcakes

There is Cherry Blossom in my city too, mostly a different kind, a
lighter color of pink than yours in the photos. I am planning to
hanami. Just not too long outside, coz it's still freezing cold.

    Do you live near Alishan?

p.s. I guess you missed my question at your previous post. I love that knit hat your girl is wearing. Did you made that?

The cherry blossoms look so pretty! I can't wait to see them when I visit Washington DC next month.

What happened to all the cherries?  Was that the tree George Washington chopped down? XD

I totally want to be there when all the pedals start flying around.

@elittlebear@xanga - Thank you very much for the cupcake mini. No, I wasn't the one who knitted my daughter's bonnet. I bought it at Les Elephantes (a specialty store for baby stuffs). Many people admired that bonnet. It's so colorful, isn't it?
