QOTD - Did the New Baggage Limits Affect You?

Does the more recent limit on number of baggage you can bring on a plane affect your travels?

I pack light, so I can travel for over a month with just an airline carryon size roll-away and a regular size back-pack. Of course, I do laundry on trips, in case you worry that I smell., lol.
I pack pretty light so it's okay by me. The liquid stuff does bother me. It sucks to have to check in a small suitcase.
I usually only have one case, so a lot of times it doesn't matter. But some flights have started charging for the first bag too. I like flying continental because I have an elite pass there and then my first bag is freeeeeeeeeeeee =)
I hate baggage limits. Now I just bring a carry on.
When we take a big trip (like to Pakistan) we exceed all the baggage limits. We're the family that's rearranging the items in their luggage at the check-in counter... My mom hates the new regulations and she refuses to pay for the extra weight limit.
I think it's ridiculous. There wasn't a problem before, why should there be now? What's so different? In '88 we came back from South America with 10 extra boxes and didn't have to pay a cent for extra baggage, as long as there was room for it, or we were willing for it to go unaccompanied on another flight. Now, if I have ONE extra bag, I have to break the bank to pay for it? Totally annoying, and totally unnecessary (imho)
