12) I'm EXTREMELY nice compared to Europeans.
11) European girls are cute.
10) A power converter can be very similar in size and volume to an amp.
9) Chocalate here is different, but still good.
8) Class Schedules are very different here than in the USA.
7) A 2 hour break after lunch isn't just normal, it's mandatory.
6) You can WALK to the nearest town in about 15 minutes, at a leisurely pace.
5) You can ride the bus back for free.
4) It's only free if you're faster than the bus driver.
3) I'm faster than the average swiss bus driver.
2) It's a 30 Euro fine to get caught stealing bus fair
1) I'm REALLY hard to catch. What things do you find when you visit another country?

Most of all I learned that people of many other countries are a lot nicer than the people here. lol
And the chocolate is still good? Swiss chocolate is the best! American chocolate? Haha, no comment...
I heard the Swiss are very xenophobic.
ive never ben to switzerland but i hav 3 very signifikint frendz who lived in the us forra short tyme wyle studying hospice chaplaincy skillz & then returned to switzerland to do ther werk in hospitals ther ive kept in contakt with each offem over the yearz each wuz very kind very generous & very karing & ther chocolate duz rok
@nattata@xanga - I'm from Dayton, Ohio, home of Esther Price chocolates. It's better than anything I had in europe, actually, but the average european chocolate IS better than hersheys.
haha! Hmm... when I was in France, I learned that the french hate George Bush (big surprise), they've never heard of cheese in a can (cheese whiz) They also have breaks after lunch, EVERYONE smokes, and they have really cool hair in general. I guess those were the teens... because I lived with a family, so I didn't experience much adult attitude toward americans. Oh and I also learned that everyone speaks English, so when I slipped up and started speaking English they just jumped right in speaking English like it was no big deal.
haha. that's a cool list. :)
HAHA! I loved your list. I loved Switzerland.
I would LOVE to have a 2-hour mandatory lunch break. Siestas would be awesome too. And 6 week mandatory vacations.
Haha, this made me LOL. :)
"A 2 hour break after lunch isn't just normal, it's mandatory."
I wanna live in Europe. :P
I learned that regardless of how much time and effort I put into it, my Spanish is still crap compared to native speakers. My boyfriend's dad (he's Ecuadorian) constantly laughs at me...and calls me names (not crude ones, they're in good humor!) in Spanish. Bahaha.
hahahah number 11 is soooooooo true :p
@JadedJanissary@xanga - Well, to be honest Hersheys is about the only American chocolate I've tried.
@flashbulb100w@xanga - It just means that all shops are closed. Not very handy.
2 hour lunch breaks are mandatory in many of the countries I have lived in.
I live quite close to Switzerland (just 20km) and I can add that gas is cheaper than surrounding countries...if you've a car..
and yes @methodElevated@xanga - they have some good relation with xenophobia...fortunately I met mostly excellent people... :)
@nattata@xanga - I just want to sleep. :D
@x_Butterflies_and_Hurricanes_x@xanga - I don't smoke! And I don't have any friends that smokes.... :) It's not healthy
Most French like Americans. It's just a teenager thing to be "against everything" I think it's the same with teens around the world...
:)
i love swiss chocolate and.... I like n° 11!!!

"Well, to be honest Hersheys is about the only American chocolate I've tried. "
OH gosh.... how have you lived?
@Mercredi@lovelyish - I'm glad to hear that my views were biased then. :)
I basically assume Europeans hate Americans. I'd be soo intimidated to visit Europe, just based on the fact that 75% of the people I talk to/know of from overseas HATEEE Americans. Guess I'm assuming Europeans are the same as Americans, and we clump each other in groups? Oh well, I'd still be extremely intimidated/nervous! :(
@nattata@xanga - Hershey's chocolate is not the pride of America! Bleck, I hate that stuff!! The Hershey's chocolate factory is fun to visit, though!
@nattata@xanga - if all the shops are closed for 2 hours, what are you supposed to do on your break? what's the point of having a 2 hour break if you can't go anywhere? you're really not supposed to nap for 2 hours.Â
@Mercredi@lovelyish - my grandma went to france and said the french hate americans and couldn't have been more rude...but my grandma is also kind of a bitch so maybe that's why she thought that ha.
LOLLLL
