  • The Perks of Working in NYC - Seeing Your Favorite Artist!

    Guest post submitted by black_lie

This summer, I am working in New York City on Broadway, about three blocks away from TimesSquare. So after work today, I went to Virgin Records to pick up Jason Mraz's new album.

On the way, I could not believe my eyes when I realized that one of my favorite artists, JULIAN BEEVER,was working on a sidewalk chalk masterpiece!!

He was doing it as a publicity stunt for the grand opening of a new Levis Jeans store in Times Square. At first I thought they were filming a commercial because part of the sidewalk was fenced off and there were all these bright lights and cameras. BUT IT WAS JULIAN BEEVER, OMG!

    The artist himself

Dude standing on top of a skyscraper... Not an illusion!!

Here it is on the projector screen. Incidentally, that is my camera's 9999th undelieted picture.

I never thought I'd see one of his works in person, let alone the artist himself. Mind boggling, I tell ya! Too bad the forecast says rain though.

Have you ever bumped into one of your favorite artists or celebrities in person?
