by Anne When I saw an article titled
Five Places to Go Before Global Warming Messes Them Up on cnn.com, I clicked on the link to see which spots I'd want to plan trips to.
Here are the five places listed on this CNN article:
- Great Barrier Reef, Australia
- New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
- Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes, Colorado, USA
- Alpine Glaciers, Switzerland
- Amazon Rain Forest, Brazil
I've been to the Alpine Glaciers in Switzerland as well as the Amazon Rain Forest. I've been wanting to plan a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Anyone who's been there has told me how amazing the coral reefs are.
Are you interested in going to any of these spots?

#1 first, however all sound very interesting places to visited.
I've been to New Orleans and Switzerland. I totally wanna see the Rain forest and the Great Barrier Reef though! I'm a sucker for snorkeling over reefs. But I'd add Africa to the list cause the deserts are growing..and pretty soon the Savannah is gonna be gone. =X
Need to add Venice, Italy.
Only a few inches in sea level will send many sidewalks underwater.
awww no hawaii or even alaska. i definitely want to visit hawaii before it starts to snow or freezes over. alaska before its the next hawaii or its just plain hot.
I am in Australia. Might as well visit the closest one.
@lilacros3s@xanga - my inlaws lived in Alaska. There are some amazing things to see there too, especially if you like wildlife and unspoiled wilderness! I've always wanted to see Switzerland and Australia.
nope.
okay, well, yes,
all of them.
especially the amazon rainforest
This is one of the stupidest lists I've ever seen. No offense to whoever wrote it.
Global warming is NOT happening. Well, it is. But not the kind y'all are talking about. No, the global warming that will take place is EXTREME global warming. The entire planet will burn. It will be unlike anything else. It is when Yahweh destroys the Earth.
We will have PLENTY of warning before this though.
@Audiofreak18@xanga - I agree. Global warming ain't real!
To those who say that global warming isn't happening, where do you guys get your information from? Your friends?
The majority of scientists agree that global warming is happening. So you know more than scientists, who have been studying this for years and years. Riiiiiight. Ultimately, I don't think it matters what you believe since I doubt you'd be visiting these places anyway.
I would love to go the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling there would be awesome.
@dannyb0y@xanga - I get my information from the Word of God, not from an idiotic politician.
AMAZON all the way!!!
@Audiofreak18@xanga - hey, what's wrong with this list? Yes, God may use global warming to destroy the Earth and many warning signs have been seen (yet actions are not seriously being taken).
@Audiofreak18@xanga - No offense taken. I was more focused on the list of places to travel rather than the debate of global warming.
Great Barrier Reef!
I heard alot of other major cities are going to be underwater too, like San Francisco, NY, Miami... etc. Go there!
AMAZON!!
I have never been to any of these locations. I love national parks and would definitely like to see Rocky Mountain National Park. I think I could enjoy all of these destinations, although I wouldn't want the snakes that come with the Amazon.
