Nope, but I probably should as it'd make blogging about it when I get home easier.
Yeah, I do. My favorite parts are writing all the funny things people say and a description about the people who said them. I'm a visual person so those exchanges are the first to go in my mind, they always bring a smile to my face when I read over them.
I really don't know what i'd do w/o my journals that I have written while traveling/living in different countries. It's like the best souvenir; you really couldn't ask for anything better. You experience and see so much in usually a short amount of time that it's easy to forget. I try to draw pictures, take stickers, signs, etc. and put in in my journals as well. Sometimes I pull them out and read about what happened a year ago... helps me remember; in a way I see how I've grown and what i've learned since then. Everyone should definitely do it. I have never had motivation to write a journal on a regular basis but it's a good idea to force yourself too at first then you kinda get really into it.
I use picture-taking and Xanga blog as my travel journal. These help me remember the details of my travels, and let me relive the experience time and time again. One time in Ecuador, I noticed a young lady taking pictures and her mom followed alone writing on a notebook. I was curious and ask her what the mom was doing. she said, she keep notes of the place the pictures so they remember, otherwise they forget. Sometimes I wish I have someone who follows me and jot notes of my pictures, lol. Any volunteers?
Yep, I have a Moleskine notebook that I use for the purpose. The pocket in the back is very handy for saving brochures and dried aspen leaves and stuff.
My mom always kept travel diaries when we went on vacations as a kid, though she didn't write in a journal at any other time of year. So I grew up thinking it was just The Thing to Do on trips.
nope, hand writing too ugly and not consistence... just using the computer and memorize in my mind...
Yes, I do. I keep it for trips that are farther away or more significant in a personal growth sense.
I have - for specific trips, when I studied abroad a kept a journal. I always make a scrapbook after big trips so I can remember them
