QOTD: Mountains or Beach
If you had the choice, would you rather take a trip to the mountains or to the beach? They both offer very different attractions, so what would make you choose one over the other?

I am picking the beach.
Mountains in the winter, Beaches in the summer.
Go to Hawaii...
Swim at the beach while being right next to a mountain.

Definitely mountains for me, but it's hard for me to pin down why. I just like the air better.
I'd probably visit the beach over the mountains, but it'd really depend on the time of year. If it's the winter, I'd like to go to a beach and warm up.. but if it's the summer, I'd like to go to the mountains and relax in some cabin with nature all around. :)
i grew up in hk which is all mountains and shoreline so i like both... so i dunno. mountains are more arduous to visit but the beach gets cliche. depends on which beach or mountain.. i'd love to visit the kunlun mountains, and the caribbean beaches are a big favorite of mine due to the fine coral sand
Mountains! I don't care for beaches.
Hmm... Well I've never been to the beach but I've been to the mountains... I'm gonna go with mountains. It's much more of my style. And it'd be fun to go back. Not to mention the fact that beaches make me nervous.
Well i live really close to the beach sooo.. i'm gonna pick mountains.
I'd go somewhere in the mountains that has a lake with a beach. =)
but if I had to pick on over the other...beach.

The mountains because I already live near a lot of beaches. I have to DRIVE to get to mountains. LOL.
I'm both a mountain and beach type of gal so I would chose both of them.
Mountains.
beach. just cause its more serene and peaceful. listening to the ocean waters is calming to me and i love water.
dont know whats up in those mountains, there could be mountain lions, poisonous things, snakes, lizards and god knows what else...not my cup of tea.
I like both.
For relaxation = beach
For adventure = mountains.
Beach - but if you live in Cape Town you can have both
Mountians, the beach sucks and smells bad and is full of old fuckers.
Sun, sand, and surf? No thanks. I don't want sun damage. I choose the breezy, colder mountains, being surrounded by trees to be kinder to my skin.
Beach! I go to the mountains at least once a year. I go to the beach once every 'many' years.
oh i love both, probably the beach though...
The mountains, definately. They're gorgeous and I could go hiking. And besides, I hate swimsuits. They're so uncomfortable. The styles now kind of suck.
