Holy Moly! I almost peed in my pants when I saw this video. It says it was filmed in China, but Tripcrazed readers inform me it's actually Japan. I see a video in front of me, but it's hard to believe it gets this crowded. Sometimes I feel like New York subways get pretty crowded, but nothing like this. And when it gets full, we don't have anyone shoving us inside like sardines. That is bone-crushing maneuvering right there. I just can't get over it! I've never traveled to any place where it was this bad on the subways and I do take public transportation when I travel. What an awesome video...
Have you seen any subways as crowded as this? Would you be able to handle living in a place where the subway was this crowded?
It's Japan, they're speaking Japanese -_- psh "Chinese"... seriously, some people think us Asians are all the same. Mixing up Asian races is actually an insult sometimes, due to the history of each Asian ethnicity out there.
@dulce_am0r@xanga - Be fair, she said the video was labeled as being in China and she was asking for verification as to whether or not that's true.
If you think that's bad, you should see the photos of the trains in India!
It's Japan. And yes, they do that. The Japanese are very stern on getting to work on time so they pack themselves in. That's actually for the Bullet Trains. The subways have a giant piece of tempered glass so no one will be pushed out onto the rails with an oncoming train approaching.
@RedheadAblaze@xanga - Over half the comments under the video from where it was originally located on YouTube corrected the user's inaccurate title. I don't know how much more obvious it can get. When informing the public of news, in this case, old, one should get their facts straight.
@dulce_am0r@xanga - Totally agree. If you're going to post something on Xanga like this you should get your facts straight. One misconception will cause another stereotype and that's not something this world can withstand. Please get it right next time.
japaaaaaaaaan
I rode subway in Japan, and this is in Japan. Well, they took time to make sure your coat did not get caught at the door and that the train door is closed. Very scary though. It is also very crowded in China, but they do hot been people pushing and pushing you in. Talk about Sardine! That is really jam packed.
That is ridiculous! It's scary, too. I can only imagine that when the doors open, the people would just spill out, risking trampling. Yikes.
*lol* "just shooooove them in" *grunts*
subways are convenient probably thats why people take them. subways in korea are the same too but i dont think i've ever seen people get shoved.
yeah, i'd like to see a video of them coming out of the train.
i shall watch this video when i attempt to pack my suitcases..
Crazy. I remember a ride in a NYC subway where our host/guide had o kick my feet in. Was that police or subway peronnel shoving them in?
Thanks, I edited the post. When I watched the video, my speakers weren't working, otherwise I'd have heard the Japanese. My best friend is Japanese so I'm able to tell from being around her family so much. And I'm also Asian so would never intentionally try to offend Asians or any other ethnicity. And believe me, people always think I'm a different ethnicity as well and they actually mean to be insulting sometimes.
Wow, I thought the subways in New York here are bad sometimes.
@laytexduckie@xanga - This makes sense. I'm always late to work if the trains are too crowded and I have to wait for the next one.
@RedheadAblaze@xanga - Thanks for the back up. Although I did edit the post. Wow, I'd love to visit India one day. I wonder how much more crowded it can get on trains. That's crazy!
wow! it is scary o_o
I wouldnt be able to handle that. If soemone pushed me like that id slap them upside the head. I'd be so pissed!
Mannnn, if people were pushed into a train like that around here, there'd be some fireworks going off.
LOL LOL wow. That's something else... and I thought Marta got rough sometimes..
yeah, I've been on a train like that. literally there was no risk of falling because you were held up by all the other passengers. and no one says a damn word. its crazy. and when they all get out, if you're going to another stop, you have to be careful they don't push you out. -_-" scary
yes, that's Japan. I've been to Tokyo for over 20 times. That's exactly what u could see in any subway station during peak hours in the morning
About Me: Age: 27,
Location: New York, NY
Favorite places I've visited: Trick question! I've been to so many amazing places, but if I absolutely had to pick, I'd settle on a couple places to shorten the list. Madrid, Spain because that's where I did my study abroad program when I was 18 and it was there that the travel bug bit me so hard it left a scar. I haven't been the same since. And Vietnam. That's where my family is from. Although, I'm Vietnamese American, I never actually visited Vietnam until I was 26. It was an awesome experience to learn about my family's history and I was quite pleased to show off my vietnamese language skills to the locals. It's quite a big deal for an american-born.
